it was our first go round, we'll be ready this year. and blown out? we lost game 5 in the 9th inning. we were 1 strike away twice. most painful game ive ever been to haha.

whats hilarious is just how bad the 3 other divisional teams are. i expect all 3 of them to finish below 500 while the nats/braves each win 90+

I'm taking my Jazz, routing it for a P pickup and routing as much wood under the pick guard as possible to get the weight down.

Since I'll never find/afford a 7lb P bass, I'm making my own.

Got the black P guard, black Marcus Miller control covers, and P pick up (thanks again Kawai).

There was a thread talking about routing under the pickguard for weight reduction and having a point of reference for how much wood to remove, would be ideal. Any tips that anyone can recommend would be appreciated. :bassist:

Personally I find the Shuttle 9.0 a little lean in the lows

ShuttleMax 9.2 is what I mostly use for doubling upright/electric gigs, or just all upright gigs. They're pretty cool. Personally I think the FET channel sounds way better than the 'tube' channel, for upright gigs lately I blend both channels so I can have tons of eq. LF filter is pretty much always dimed.

I know all the GK rb amps are supposed to sound basically the same. I've owned a 400rb that I loved, an 800rb that I hated and use 1001rbs as backline all the time and really like those. Every time I've had a 700rb or 800rb for backline I haven't liked them, but I usually love the 1001rbs...probably all in my head :)

The MB and Orange both seem really nice if what they do is what you're going for.

The GB 9.2 is supposed to fix some of that "lean in the lows" the 9.0 had. Apparently they just got a little over zealous with the HPF protection in the power section, so they lowered the frequency of the roll of point a bit on the new revision.

I'd be interested to hear how the GK stacks up against the Orange TB. I think they have very different flavors, I could justify keeping my MB800 and also buying a Terror Bass.

I would get a jazz guard like the Reggie Hamilton model so you have the max coverage and space to route underneath. It didn't look like that p guard would be any good.

Only reason I'm even considering the TB is that everyone kinda fell for one in here and the guy I'm borrowing it from says "Its the last amp ill ever need to buy" lol

Sounds about right...even the 9.2 aint exactly what I'd call tubby. For me it's just a very convenient doubling amp that sounds pretty good. My cabs have great low end, so that helps.

The 12.0 I keep as a backup was seriously lean in the lows...wound up using it as a pre with a poweramp and that helped a lot. I really wish there was a ShuttleMax with both channels FET...the toob channel is just a mushy version of the FET channel, IMO :)
