I wish more new heads went down to 2 ohms, that is an absolute requirement for anything I buy.
Sounds about right...even the 9.2 aint exactly what I'd call tubby. For me it's just a very convenient doubling amp that sounds pretty good. My cabs have great low end, so that helps.
The 12.0 I keep as a backup was seriously lean in the lows...wound up using it as a pre with a poweramp and that helped a lot. I really wish there was a ShuttleMax with both channels FET...the toob channel is just a mushy version of the FET channel, IMO![]()
I got the impression that the issues with the lows was the primary factor in releasing the Shuttle 2 models. The only other difference I've noticed is they changed the markings on the knobs from dots to lines. Other than some probable internal debugging (I assume), there doesn't seem to really be any other functional difference between the two versions.
