Stoner/Doom Bassists 53: Loud Noises

What amp are you running with the Dually? Pretty ****ing crushing rig eh?

SVT 3 pro. Master sits at about 1 or 2 oclock and is plenty loud.

For the places I'm playing that's about as loud as I'll need to get. And my guys are ok with me being crushingly loud.

At our first practice with the dually I actually got asked to turn up !!! Got very excited. Loud noises.

What in the fVXk was that, is that what teenagers are being spoon fed these days.

Well, " Its Friday" is a youtube "classic?" The Monday version is the parody.

As far as what people are calling music these days... You don't have to look very far to see the turds that people polish these days and call GOLD! ie, anything with "America's next / insert something grand/" in the name is bankrupt of whatever they are claiming.

Nothing is fvckef? THE GODDAMNED PLANE HAS CRASHED INTO THE MOUNTAIN!

Ah very cool. I always felt the 3 Pro didn't have enough juice with my SVT-610HLF, but I bet it melts faces with the Dually.

This will show hold I am, when I was little my Aunt took me and my two cousins(her sons) to the movies and we all wanted to see a horror movie, so we convinced her, so that movie scared the crap out of all of us and shocked her, and she was so embarrassed walking out that she actually took us to that movie, she had no clue that movies could be that bad, a demon possesed trees raping a woman. So yeah thinkt hat was my first actual scary movie I saw in the actual theater, so was always a big fan of it.
That`s pretty cool that you were able to watch the original Evil Dead in the theater!
I saw Dark Man at the movies......but it`s just not the same.

I never really looked into the whole Lawsuit bass thing, but that is a super cool looking jazz! One of these days I`ll have to add a jazz to my collection.
I got a classic bouncer story. I was at this club I guess you would call a place with local bands. And I guy I went to high school with was there, a tough son of gun. Well this fight breaks out back and to the left of us, not that close but close enough, so they had these like huge bouncers, more fat than muscle but still big guys. Well the dipshVts get so worked up over the fight going on the take their big ass running over to the fight, but they didn't care who they knocked over or hurt to make it to the fight, male female whatever, well my back was to the guy running, my buddy grabs me by the arm says don't worry just don't want you getting hit, and I am no lightweight by any means and my buddy moved me like a feather, well here the behomoth was getting ready to pummel me out of his way, so my buddy lost it, kicks the living **** out of the bull on parade idiot bouncer, just flat out tunes him up proper, and is screaming who cares if there is a fight take your time and don't be hurting people not involved in the fight, so the other bouncer comes up see the fight on the other side, then sees the bouncer by us trying to stand up, and decides the other fight is easier, then other guy makes it to his feet, and goes to break up the other fight but much more calmly walks over now. So I said well looks like we are gonna fight some bouncers are on way out of here, you had my back I got yours, he said I doubt it I put the fear of God in that boy and sure enough he was right, I thought for sure they were going to come back at us or get the cops after us, no those bouncers kept a wide birth the rest of the night, what a classic memory that was. It was awesome seeing a large giant of a man, getting the crap kicked out of him by an average sized man though muscular and in shape, but just a true scrapper. Priceless.
Whoa, gnarly! That totally reminds me of that scene in SLC Punk when Mike (Jason Segel) beats the hell out of the bouncers for messing with his friend.
New QOTSA song(studio version)
