meh. I don't think they look cheesy, or stupid. But I don't think the design is that great.

I would play an amp that looked like a hamburger, though, if it sounded good.

I'm starting to pretty much ignore the rest of TB, with the exception of "Luthier's Corner". As a gear nerd, I love that sub-forum.

I routinely peruse the "Amps" subforum, there are sometimes some interesting threads in there. Occasionally I'll venture into "Basses" but I don't post as much in there.

I've actually never had problems with antibiotics. I know they cause a lot of digestive issues for many people due to the loss of the normal gut bacteria, though.

Yeah the new mesa heads look really goofy, the features seem nice, but the look...goofy as hell.

If they sound great, I wouldn't care too much about the looks. It would probably look a little better without the weird Cadillac grill on front though.

No, probably many people do. I kinda like how weird looking they are, though. To me they look almost dieselpunk.

I don't think I know Andy, though you never know. Probably an exhaustive Facebook trawl would reveal I know him through some weird connection as Edinburgh seems to work like that. If your cousin's wife is graduating and went straight from school, and if she is about my age ~23 so I may know her through one or two vets I know who went to the school there.

A few antibiotics here and there ain't bad. For anything SEVERE, though, you're running loads of 'em through your system. It won't just affect your gut. It'll break you down....

Soooo just found out that the guitar player I'm going to work with tunes to Drop A. Who's tuning to that, what type of bass are you using, and strings? I need some ideas brothers.

I'm tuned almost to that at BEAD. Just using a Peavey and the bottom four strings of a D'Addario 5-string set. I'd just use the heaviest 5-string set I could find from that brand if I were tuning to ADGC.

Just because he's in drop doesn't mean you have to be. The guitarist of The 5th Child usually tunes to drop B, whereas I'm in B standard, as there's little reason for me to have a 5th between the lowest two strings.

It's not just you, the jumping back and forth in grooves in that song bugged me when I was driving. In my second listen I skipped it because it's jarring. But... it's the only real video they've uploaded, and I'm used to that song now.

There are a couple threads about them in the "Amps" subforum. Supposedly Bass Gear Magazine is going to get a couple to bench test to see how close to their rated power they actually put out.

I'm excited/curious about them, but currently broke, so it doesn't really matter for me, I suppose. I'm glad to see Mesa re-entering the tube amp market, though.
