Stoner/Doom Bassists 54: Big Cabs and Nerd Bombs

damn, Jason!!! best of luck.

If they are drowning you in ANTIbiotics, do you your body a favor and keep your balances by taking a PRObiotic on top of it.

which reminds me...I hate doctors.

I've actually never had problems with antibiotics. I know they cause a lot of digestive issues for many people due to the loss of the normal gut bacteria, though.

If they sound great, I wouldn't care too much about the looks. It would probably look a little better without the weird Cadillac grill on front though.

I just had a killer patty melt for lunch and the thought of a good hamburger still makes my mouth water. Omnomnomnomnom.

Dude! Youre in Edinburgh? Thats where ill be going this summer in July, my cousins wife is graduating from vet school. You know of an Andy Muenchow?

Fvck getting better soon Jason... Get better NOW.

I don't think I know Andy, though you never know. Probably an exhaustive Facebook trawl would reveal I know him through some weird connection as Edinburgh seems to work like that. If your cousin's wife is graduating and went straight from school, and if she is about my age ~23 so I may know her through one or two vets I know who went to the school there.

Also, get well soon Jason!

Soooo just found out that the guitar player I'm going to work with tunes to Drop A. Who's tuning to that, what type of bass are you using, and strings? I need some ideas brothers.

I'm tuned almost to that at BEAD. Just using a Peavey and the bottom four strings of a D'Addario 5-string set. I'd just use the heaviest 5-string set I could find from that brand if I were tuning to ADGC.

Just because he's in drop doesn't mean you have to be. The guitarist of The 5th Child usually tunes to drop B, whereas I'm in B standard, as there's little reason for me to have a 5th between the lowest two strings.

Mesa Musikmesse Porn.....
KT88-driven bass heads: Strategy Eight:88 and Prodigy Four:88

last year they were 6L6's....I didn't hear about them though. Anybody?

There are a couple threads about them in the "Amps" subforum. Supposedly Bass Gear Magazine is going to get a couple to bench test to see how close to their rated power they actually put out.

I'm excited/curious about them, but currently broke, so it doesn't really matter for me, I suppose. I'm glad to see Mesa re-entering the tube amp market, though.
