Just because he's in drop doesn't mean you have to be. The guitarist of The 5th Child usually tunes to drop B, whereas I'm in B standard, as there's little reason for me to have a 5th between the lowest two strings.

We do the same thing in Warp Rig. Guitarist plays in drop B, I play in standard B. I just use the bottom 4 strings from a DR 5 string nickel wound set. In the past I've used the bottom 4 of D'Addario 5 string set as well.

Welp, totally got lazzed on a speaker cable on ebay... bought 2 received 1. I opened an ebay claim and contacted the seller immediately. It's not a ton of money but it's the principal, I told him upfront that if he doesn't suggest a resolution I will leave appropriate feedback and take action through ebay and paypal.
The thing is he had great feedback.. that's why I bought his cables... Still no contact back from him....

Bought the Nu-tron phaser should be in the mail today or tomorrow. Let me know if anyone's interested in a psilocybe with a sweet green marble paint job.

Set up a date to start learning some songs with some dudes. I jammed with a guitarist that I previously did a band with. 2 days later he called me and said he's been playing with a drummer I know and asked me to join. Gonna learn some songs and feel it out. Really Really good stuff... Some Fu Manchu-ish riffs, some doomier parts, and killer tone. Both guys have solid gear and the drummer has a studio & previously was employed by sweetwater. The guitarist is a riff machine.... Lots of potential here... Really Stoked to have a semi-serious but regular band again.

In case you were interested in jazzing up your bass with some graphics...

OK, now time for confession bear. :hiding: Was thinking of taking my bass to a local artist and have them making an octopus themed image on my bass. Nothing airbrushed, or carnival looking.

Kraken rum is the "official booze" of Mariana, so I was thinking something along this type of design.

This is on a $500 bass...not damaging any classics. :)

Cable guy (lol) got back to me... Owned up the the mistake... Sending me an additional cable.

Been about a year and a half since I had I regular band. I'm hoping it works out... I'm excited to have something to share, and have the potential to book some shows with whomever else is in the North East.

I do enjoy some Kraken Rum once in a while...their website is pretty cool too.

I do on my OSD. But it's one of the few pedals I don't think needs it.

Do yourself a huge favor if you plan on adding blend controls. Put the money towards an Xotic X-Blender! I have one and it would be hard to overstate how friggin cool it is. Think of it as a force multiplier for any other pedals you own. Pedals that I just kinda like without come alive with new depth and tones. Plus, you will never have to worry about blend controls again.

The OSD sounds fine on its own, but GREAT blended with another pedal and clean signal. The Blender just adds a ton of versatility.
