i missed them by about two weeks! on holiday from auckland to brisbane visiting the girlfriend's family. now we're tempted to move to melbourne but i don't want to ditch band and friends here.

nick i think i might break down and email you about a build soon. i can't handle the idea of trusting another builder with quality control issues with my money, time and dreams.

also my offer still stands for everyone in the thread: if anyone has a treble pickup cover for a rick going spare, i would gladly either pay for it, or make you a cassette of your own recordings in trade (and pay for shipping both ways)!

Got the fret buzz all fixed up and the bass plays like a dream. So far I think I'm digging the bridge pickup by itself with the tone knob wide open. Makes every note sing. Like a piano that sounds like a stingray if that makes sense.

Dude, Laz the EGC looks great. Your description sounds awesome. I can't wait to hear some in depth thoughts, especially through you're full rig and vs the Ric.

I'm still like 15/16 weeks out but I'm so excited. Although my RD has been sounding absolutely punishing at practice/shows lately. It's like it knows it is being eyed for replacement.

Do you know what the issue with the Matamp is? Mine had a screen resistor that was shorting out because the vibrations caused it to touch the chassis. I just placed some electrical tape between the resistor and chassis and haven't had a problem since.

Check the bottom of the resistor for scorch marks. If anyone if them is scorched then its an easy fix

lol, no offense to the matamp guys, but this is all absurd. theyre this world renowned amp maker, and with geoff and another guy hes buddies with having the exact problems, and sam having to put electrical tape to avoid shorting, i gotta say *** is up with them?

mr mathias would be appalled i say!
