Stoner/Doom Bassists #64 - sensitive artsy emo chicks

^^Just gotta realize that there are gonna be s**t-stirrers in every thread. sucks, but whatcha gonna do?

A lot of forums are like the the old guys who hang out at McDonald's in the morning drinking coffee and shooting the crap. There are the normal Joes, the happy go luck comedians, and then there are always the negative Nancy ones who feasts on negativity like a Vampire on blood. They have to piss on someone's cheerios to feel better about their own pathetic lives to more easily swallow their own bowl of pissy cheerios. Or some twisted chump who cracks it to his troll maneuvers online. And I think there are also a lot of wimps trying to act tough through the safety of the internet. Now speaking about old guys at McDonalds, about 20 years back I swung in to pick up some vittles and ended up in a long line, this old guy standing next to me, says hey watch this guy(old) over here, everyday he steals all the napkins, then goes up to the counter and asks for more, and sure enough he did, and I said to the old guy talking to me, all serious and deep, you know his misery is the only thing keeping him alive, otherwise he would be long dead. Well that blew the other old guys mind, guess that hit too close to home for him, he stopped talking to me, and went to sit down with the napkin stealer that he was just bad mouthing, lol, good times at MickyDees!!!

Totally. Had a friend once that would get his order at bk. Then while filling his drink would empty the entire napkin dispenser into his bag and pockets. And he was a miserable person. Guess misery loves paper goods lol.

Man it's been a while since I had a humbucker equipped guitar, been playing single coils for so long I forgot how much more they push all the drive and fuzz, and the bridge pup will push my little Champion to slight overdrive without any pedals on, where they single coils never did that, lol. The skinny little 9 gauge strings, the short Gibson scale neck, and the feedback made me stuble some playing the Aria last night, cracked me up.

I'm sure it's been covered, but I'm looking for a goos delay pedal that doesn't suck out low end...suggestions?

how much money u willing to spare?

I believe Ron will say that the Catbred Echorec pedal was a very nice delay on bass, its not super pricey either.

but I mean if you got wicked cash to blow, the MF-104M.

Thanks for the kind words. I wouldn't be so stressed about a job if we weren't almost broke. Been having to drink at night to sleep, my back has been flaring up daily. Hopefully, employment will mean I can start my "meds" again soon.

I appreciate all y'all crossing your fingers for me!

i hear that. in my case stress doesnt even begin to describe what im dealin with, more like crippling anxiety. no sleep for 2 days, even with booze. friday is the day, i need this position, i cant stand this place much longer.

got hella screwed on my car deal, ridiculous interest rate and im still fighting with them about the AC. still have to find time to go to a legit honda dealership to get the stereo code.

then to top it off i have a show saturday with the new band. these guys want to jam like everyday to be ready but its the last thing on my mind.

did i mention my wife wants to cut off my golden locks before the interview!? too much change at once is killing me.

I play bass and build cabs for a living...wouldn't describe that as 'wicked cash to blow.' :)

Checked out the Catalinbread Echorec...really cool!

A few folks have mentioned the Carbon Copy...I'm endorsed by MXR, so that could be had on the cheap, and occasionally, stuff 'falls off the truck.'
