Hey Nick, just curious, how tough would it be for a newb like myself to add an LED to a pedal? As it stands right now, my RAT doesn't have one and I'd like to add one if it's easy enough. I could get ahold of a soldering iron fairly easy. I'm just wondering if I'd be in over my head and should leave it to someone who knows what they're doing.

if your pedal has a 3PDT switch its easy if not then its a smidge more difficult as you need to add that switch to do it

I didn't mean you would butcher it up. Sorry if it sounded that way. It looks like the finish on the board is peeling near the binding and the frets (now that I'm home and can really look at it) I may of had a fret job at some point. Some luthiers will get out of refinishing the board by cutting the finish along the fret with a razor. Obviously this doesn't work to well because sweat and moisture get in there and the finish starts peeling ( you can stop that by running a strip of superglue along the fret after and buffing it out, but you need to know what you're doing) Strap lock on the upper horn has been moved. I would offer him $300 and see what happens. You might be able to straighten that neck out by loosening the truss rod and clamping it for a while. It probably would need a fret level and some nut work. If you know how to do it or want to have a go at it, the tools wouldn't be that much. I think if you were to bring it to someone it wouldn't be worth the $$ to do it. Just my .02

Not easy but doable. Cost of tools and about a weeks time. Way better than what I was quoted to do it.

Its a bolt on neck, i think a neck clamp and proper setup and it would be fine i imagine. Ask for better pics of the frets. might need a different bridge.

parts P-Bass. Body came from the classifieds. supposedly it is alder, but original factory origin is unknown. came with a badass bridge, shielded body and dimarzio model P. Neck is from Rondo. Baseball bat profile, and super thick finish on it too. Stainless control plate made by my friend and I because if i need to clean a pot/change a jack i don't want to have to remove the whole guard. i really need matching knobs. Tuned AADG

Hey if you can't fix it I might be into it. I like projects and have all the tools for it.

$300 for a fake Ric isn't bad. Plus it's a bolt on you could always turn it into a RickenFender.

Cool, it looked like the bass in this video. It's some old MIJ P i believe. Your bass looked like it.

The other bass player has one. They're cool. They weigh a ton though. Kinda P bass neck, big bad humbuckers with innovative (for the time) electronics. I've played his a couple of times but wasn't really my thing, we have way different tastes and setups though.
