Oh I know, that's probably why (even though Lord Fowl is pretty different from the rest of their roster too). I just wish someone would help finance something, as there likely won't be another release without it. Plus they're a great label.

We'll look into another kickstarter next year perhaps, but we just did a big one last spring and you kind of need to wait a bit between them so you have a chance to actually fund it.

So I rounded out my evening @ my office looking at phasers... I think if I decide to phase, I'm going to start with the HBE Psilocybe. Supposed to love dirt, and have no loss.

Any Experience?

Anyone else get anxious about bringing new gear to practice, because your band mates aren't gear fiends? Our guitarists hardly ever buy new gear, which is kind of a good thing because they nailed down their tone like 15 years ago and stuck with it. I don't change what I play in the band that much, but I do bring new stuff so I can try it out at full volume. I get a lot of "oh...eh...another bass/amp/pedal, huh?". Even though I usually get compliments by the end of practice, since of course I have impeccable taste.

I really wanna bring the Ray34CA to try out, see if it plays nice with the SVT before I give it the heave ho. I think I'm the only one whose wife doesn't give them the raised eyebrow at new gear, so they do it for me.

The only non-gear nut in my band is the drummer. He's owned the same early 70s vintage Gretsch kit for like 20 years and it sounds boobies awesome. Both my guitarists are gear nuts and the one has like 14 pedals on his board.

Typically when I have new gear I show up early, find settings that I like, then tweak them in the band mix to see how they sound once everyone shows up.

I love Jon Lajoie! I remember the first time I saw his stuff(way back when people still used myspace),I love Rapist glasses and pedophile beards! It was a nice surprise to see him on The League. Hey when does the new season start? I`m all caught up on netflix.
Does anybody watch NTSF SD SUV on Adult Swim? It has a lot of the same dudes in it.Really funny show.

I do that with amps and pedals. They never really seem to notice, visually, but in between songs they'll say something like "hey, you sound really good today" and I'll point out what I'm using. A new bass is little more conspicuous though. In the two years I've been in Cold Mourning I've used:

Ric 4003
Carvin SB4000
Fender MIM Precision
Drake Custom

Right now I'm currently using the Precision again, which is what I played at our last gig (a year ago), because it's the lightest. I prefer the tone of the SB4000, but it hurts my shoulder to play standing up. I think the Drake sounds great for 75% of our songs and it's really light, but the rest of the band doesn't think it sounds rude/raw/growly/whatever other adjective you want to use enough for the more rockin songs. I want to try out the Ray34CA, because it's got a great growl to it and still feels really tight and punchy sounding. It's pretty heavy, but for some reason doesn't feel that uncomfortable to play standing up. I don't really care if they give me a hard time anyway, I just don't have anything more serious to worry about at the moment. :ninja:
