OSD arrived. I am very pleasantly surprised by how natural sounding it is. Much prefer it over the OCD. This is a lot less compressed and "gainy". We'll see how it works tonight.

Who is using P/J basses for stoner/doom? Make, model, and pickups?

I use a jazz mostly but I'm in a shoegaze/psychrock combo. Probably use the SG for our slower heavier stuff.

They are sexy as hell that's for sure. The only things wrong with it is that they a just so damn expensive for just a 350watt combo. That and it kind of sucks that it doesn't have the capability of running an extension speaker. It be really cool to swap out the 4ohm 15" for a 8ohm and add a extension speaker jack. Then I could have someone make me a custom 1x15 for the sexist stack EVER!!!

What the hell is a 2x10!?!? Never heard of this amp! Ampegfuzz I think you would like the Dimarzios, I was playing on that bass today and it sounds really good. I think I'm gonna tune my Jazz to E and drop the P/J down to like D or C.

I think all he does is stoner stuff with superjoint. And How was the DOOM 210 sam?

Actually, not as bad as I thought. The tone is not my taste but if anything the high mid focus of the Eden certainly makes it easy to hear yourself on stage. Granted i had to cut my lows quite a bit with the WA to not destroy the speakers. The parametric EQ was handy for that.

When I tried to EQ out some of those high mids, I got buried. So high mids it was.

All in all not terrible, but not my first choice. To compare though the Eden 210 was way louder than my Ampeg 210.

I think his most recent stoner/doom record was called "Attention Deficit [DEL]Destruction[/DEL] Domination" or something similar. (edit: googled it)
