Wow.. yeah I would have expected a price like that for just one, compared to looking at prices of other boutique cabs. Although the biggest price of the cabs is the speakers, not the materials or labor... if you're loading them with 12" Kappas, its gonna cost a pretty penny.

for the style i play i wouldnt waste money on kappas. i dont need that sort of clarity, these are gonna be sopped up with fuzz and pushed to the 9s so im probably gonna get some easy speakers like Betas or something else thats not too expensive.

and with anything custom the price is always the labor. a lot of these guys have good hookups with speaker companies and can get things at cost so they dont spend a whole ton. gotta imagine the markup on nice speakers is a ton but who knows.

Oh cool, didn't realize these were a custom job. Did he already have a design to create 6x12's, or were they designed and built from scratch for just your order? Cuz yeah thats especially mad cheap then.

From Wade. I had to be a real pain in the ass, which I felt bad about, but I got real tired of being put on hold. After leaning on him he finally made it right..maybe just so I'd quit being a nuisance....I dont know.

yeah i think these were the first 612s hes made. id have to assume he modeled them after the old sunn 612 1200S cabs but i could be wrong.

but yes they were from scratch.

im gonna be running them with an acoustic 220 for now.

thats until i decide i want another big tube amp and do that instead haha.

so ill have 2 415s and 2 612s with an SVT and an Acoustic 220.
