Wait, the local band asked the out-of-town band for gear?


I have a simple rule: off stage in 5. Not necessarily broken down, but cleared off stage. That gives 10 minutes for the next band to set up and do their thing.

Yep. My drummer embarrassed him pretty good for that. I mean come on you show up without sticks? Really?

every show ive played Ive had my gear off the stage within about 4-5 min. I always end up helping everyone else. most guitarist ive played with take forever! Like there vintage boss pedal is gonna break if its not babied into a case??

Yeah exactly. It doesn't take that long to hustle your stuff of the stage and out of they way. You can ******** with your band mates after you move your stuff.

I seen people leave there stuff on stage and go to the bar to get a drink. Amateur hour for sure.

I could see forgetting a cord or some thing small. But a whole rig is just crazy. I've lent out a bass to guys that break a string and dont have a back up. I've let guys use my gear when they see it and they're like thats really nice i got this ****** combo so i say use mine. but to just not even try forget it. Im a nice dude especially when it comes to helping out other bands I like but I ain't no bitch

Ive helped out other bands too when I know them and we are all in work mode

Yeah I always will help someone out that needs something. I usually try to get in contact with the other bands we're playing with before to figure out a gear situation. I usually just tell them to bring a head and they can use my cabs. I love it when 5 bands are playing and everyone of them lugged the same Ampeg 810 into the club. You guys couldn't of talked about this before or outside? At least someone should use all of them for their set.

I've seen it in places that hold about 150-200 tops. The place was just full of gear. Also there was stairs involved with this. I just looked at all of them and was like are you serious? Same bass amp setups and same guitar cabinets. You guys really can't just share gear?

thats why festivals like roadburn have backing gear there already! Imagine roadburn if each band brought their own gear! Id be looting

I'm still trying to decide on the Rat Tail. I'd rather get a used one but they don't come up very often.

So these monolith cabs need a bit of work but at least i got them. Hopefully my guitarist and i can have them finished and cleaned up by end of june. Wont be getting anything else custom made for a looooong time haha.

Speaker holes need sanding
Baffles need painting
No jack plate or jack hole on back
No grill for either cab
No hole for speaker wire inside inner port
One cab is missing a brace for the baffle
Obviously no speakers
No tolex

Aside from that tho, im golden lol. At least this is a project for me to work on. Gotta stay on the bright side! Lol

Yes but again, i was severely undercharged so im not too bummed. Just disappointed that the cabs had been sitting like this since like november and he didnt even do a few simple things he should have like sanding, painting, grill, etc.
