Ya know the worst part of this is that this whole experience really put the brakes on some hopes of mine. I was considering a custom build from a different small builder, and now im not so sure. As much as I like supporting and getting unique gear I really dont ever wanna deal with this kind of fiasco again. Im pretty understanding about all of this cos it did seem like a perfect storm for him and he is a real small operation and therefore much less resilient. So I can be understanding. But I once blew an ampeg amp that I bought new. I got a new one same day no hassle. Thats real nice sometimes.
Haha im an admitted huge softie but seriously what can i do other than complain? Hes clearly running a ponzi scheme and i couldnt recoup my money so it was either wait 100 years and deal with bs, or spend a weekend or two with my band fixing them. They already offered to help with everything so its all good.
I just feel bad for people waiting for cabs, that will most likely never get them. Half of me thinks he only had money for my shipping and your refund because hes still taking orders. Pyramid Wade.

Lol none taken, but what can i do? I got pwned plain and simple.
My guitarist estimated the wood at around 100-120 bucks, shipping was like 250, so i figure i was paying wade lawyer fees to build me two empty boxes.
Having built my own cabs I could give a quick rundown on cost
Wood $180
Hardware (corners, handles,jacks,wire,etc) $150
Tolex (10 yds) $150
Speakers $590
Grill Cloth $110
Misc. (glue,staples,screws,etc) $100
Total $1280
That was for one 810 and two 215's. granted I get a discount on speakers but it's not that much.
How was i getting 1450 back? He could barely refund you a couple hundred. And im not sure hes taking orders, just speculating on my part. But i dont know how he ended up with money all the sudden. He has blatantly not touched these cabs since last year, so whyd he wait 7 months to send them?
I'm sure he is still taking money from people. I'm sure he's exhausted any of his other ways of getting money (friends ,family , etc.) I doubt he's accepting custom orders but I'm sure he's still trying to sell what's on his site. Really ****** thing to do.

Really appreciate that dude, thanks. ill let ya know if anything comes up. My guitarist is pretty good with stuff like this but if i hit any snags youll be the first to know.

Good businessmen know when to cut their losses and accept reality. Trying to get money out of him is a waste of time. Already went the paypal/bank route, no luck. Aside from taking him to court theres nothing left. And i dont care enough to get legal.
Bottom line, my cabs will be finished by end of june and ready for shows so im feeling good!
beebass, i posted this earlier, but it got buried... how many ohms will your cabs be? cabs in multiples of threes always throw me for a loop when trying to get to 2, 4, or 8 ohms.
8 or something close to that. 4 ohm speakers, one set of 4 in series parallel which should make and 4 ohm group. Then a set of two in parallel for an 4 ohm load. Then wire both groups in series for a total of 8 ohms.

I would run them in groups of three. Running 4+2 would mean 2 speakers would be getting more juice than the other speakers.
