at the moment itll be an acoustic 220, but that may change if i decide to buy something else. but i liked that head, it was loud, deep, and cheap so im gonna stick with that for the time being.

how would you wire the cabs to get them to 8 ohms each?

i'm not using it w/ my current band (yet:ninja:), but i have a set of midi organ foot pedals, ala Rush, that are pretty rad. right now i can only use them w/ my computer though, and i don't like computers on stage... my current synth doesn't have midi (it's an old analogue realistic mg1, made by moog for radioshack).

I'd really like to get a david smith mopho or alesis micron to use as a brain for the pedals. all that considered, cult of the lost cause is more of a post-metal band (i hate that term). organ in doom is cool, using a synth is a slippery slope down.

Well you would have to find 12ohm speakers for it to be 8 ohm. If you ran 4ohm speakers wired series in banks of three and then wired the two banks of three together in parallel you come out with 6ohm. The 220 will run at 2 ohm (160w) so it would work. It's when you wanna start using other heads when it might get tricky.

the way i originally had it (which i found online) you were saying that two of the speakers per cab would be getting pushed harder. is it smarter to push two speakers harder and get it to 8 ohms, or would it be smarter to get an uneven load (5.6, 6, etc) and run them like that?
