So this is what confuses me... I was under the impression that it is bad to run amps at a resistance other than what it is rated for. for example, a load of 5 1/3 ohms is bad for a 4/8 ohm amp. am i wrong?
Well it's all just rounding off. An 8 ohm cab would read anywhere between 7.2-9 ohms. This number will fluctuate while applying and signal through the speakers also. Some heads are ok with being mismatched a bit some aren't.
