Yeah, $15 probably isn't going to make or break your decision to buy a pedal in the $175 range. It is always nice when you can get that discount though.
How are you liking the PT2? Have you had a chance to put it together? I think that is my next purchase.

Thinking about getting a pedaltrain board? I've got 2 PT1's and love em, so easy to run wires underneath, and built like a tank. Perfect off the shelf gigging pedalboard.
I bet that Acid King vinyl sounds fantastic out of a nice stereo

Heck I've been using a Pedaltrain Mini in the softbag now for years. The bag is super sturdy and has a front pouch that I keep all my extra patch cables, wallwarts, and tiedowns in. Lightweight metal pedalboard holds 5-6 pedals, perfect for a 1Spot daisychain. It looks prettier if you take the board+pedals out of the bag, but for simplicity sake I usually just zip it open and go nuts. All my pedals, instrument cables, and amp cables go in the Pedaltrain bag, so I never forget anything.
Not suggesting anybody limit themselves to 5 pedals, but it works for me. I have probably 14 pedals lying around the house, but keep it to 5 "primaries" to take to jams
Yeah my guitarist has the PT1. There's one for sale locally for $50 used. I was interested in the PT2 because of the legit ATA case instead of the semi-ATA case that comes with the PT1. But I have to decide if I think a sturdier case is worth an additional $140 when I never "tour", just gig one night at a time.
PS Nick between your turntable and my speakers we should be able to figure out some way to listen to vinyls... We need to have a smoke and vinyl session.

Unrelated note: I saw the movie Lawless last night. One of the better movies I've seen in a year or two. Recommended.
If your not flying your pedalboard to gig's you'll be fine with the semi-ATA case. Both my boards have that case and its plenty sturdy enough for in van touring and local gig load-in and load-outs. Even with bandmates who don't treat equipment with kid gloves.

Yeah that turntable was my dads from the 70s/80s. It works but needs a separate pre-amp methinks. I know embarrassingly little about home stereo stuff, but Dank knows EVERYTHING and I just need a good day to bring him down to fix me up.
No prob, for 50$ I'd jump on it mine cost me 80$ shipped to me, and is actually a lil smaller then the pt2.
Your speakers are kinda janky right? I have two nice powered studio monitors we could use. If he can get you to the point where you can output a preamped signal to 1/4" phono connections, we're good.
I got it together, kinda sorta. Still need to buy more cables and figure some layout stuff out properly. It worked fine at the last band practice though. Everything powered up, no issues at all, real easy to reach and switch everything on the board. Having the large hard case is nice too, since I can throw cables and my strap in there as well. When I first unpacked it I thought "wow, maybe this is too big". Less than a week and I'm already working up diagrams and taking precise measurements to figure out how I'm going to fit and layout everything. I do have to end up getting a splitter for one output of the PPII+, but I already have to buy picks and strings and things, so I'm just tossing it onto a Sweetwater or MF order or something. I could daisychain something off the LS-2, but I only need one extra and not 5 or 8 or whatever the Roland cable is. Good feelings on the PT-2 and the PPII+ all around so far. It also has an aux AC outlet up to 200v. Which is good, because based on the ideas I'm going over with Nick, I might need it.
Oh sweet. Well the receiver I have now just has speaker cable outs, its old and garbage. I have another receiver thats also pretty crappy, BUT it has a 5.1 satellite system. I just have to hook it up and see if it still works, I just dug it out yesterday. I gotta start lurking Craigslist to get someone's $1000 hi-fi 80's stereo for a steal.
I have the same pp2+ problem with needing a splitter to power all of my pedals. I went ahead and ordered a pack of iso5 cables and use one of the single boss to boss cables to daisy chain off my tuner (on both boards) and it works great, plus its always handy to have a few extra of those cables lying around.

But yeah that was us last week, great show and great people. And its funny that you actually know the true meaning behind the name hahaha most people are like... "wait... I don't get it, is it like your dad's last name is Dosio?" hahaha soooo many kids with no colors in their pupils, the world must have been so beautiful to them that night. But papadosio is one hell of a tight band, their current drummer played for skeleton witch and a few other metal / doom bands in Ohio, and he's sick his timing is impeccable.
Talked to my guitarist earlier. He's ready to start writing. And not fight the sludge/doom anymore. He was writing some sweet riffs, but he wanted to do something else. I think he is realizing it needs to flow, and quit fighting what's coming naturally. haha.
But he wants to do "something pretty" too. Which means mellow clean parts and clean vocals. And bust out the synth.

Ancient Tone can bring the doom for sure! Got to play shows with multiple bands of his. Ancient Astronaught sure brought the heavy when beebassdude wasn't busy blowing all the circuits at the "venue" haha.
Hey Corey. You know how you were trying to figure out preamp junk? Why not grab a Behringer BDI21 (they only cost $30 new) to play around with to see what's the best way to go? Then, you can get the preamp pedal of your dreams...
Worst case scenario you have a cheap, backup pre/DI. or you could return it or flip it for most of your money back. Or go used and don't lose a dime. Just a thought so you aren't throwing hundreds of dollars at something that you may not like.

Hey Mikey I'm kinda curious how many shows have you guys played where you didn't throw the breakers? I've seen you guys like 5 or 6 times and every single freaking time you guys blew atleast one, wait except maybe at So Addictive I can't remember if you guys did that there or not.
