Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Part 28: Chicken Pot Pie

I actually have an irrational fear of amputees I'm trying to lessen.
None the less seeing people get rebuilt is crazy.

My girlfriend lives on the east side of Austin where, like everyone seems to be an amputee, it's like Afghanistan, but diabetes instead of landmines.

On a happy note, Happy Birthday Blender.

Also, anyone want dibs on this sweet vintage gear?

I will be getting this though ever heard of?

that's a b****in' Strat. I'd hop on that if I were you.

Did you even remember it by then lol

Good luck with the job and one of those amps. What's the potential new job?

video game expert at a certain aus/nz company that pays exorbitant salaries. if i get it, i get paid the same as i do now, but with opportunity to double the pay in 3 months - that's a lot of gear!

played first gig with new band tonight! it's 4.50am and i am so tired. that was ****ing fantastic though - played after 5 other bands, people stuck around to watch us, and we absolutely decimated. planned to play a 30 minute set, played 60 instead. i couldn't walk a step without getting praise after - the mini mu absolutely KILLED and the el oso was just the right amount of dirt. tubes and rickenbackers and flatwounds are the magic. ****ing brilliant, i've not had that much fun at a show in years!

now for more fuzz, 15 inch speakers, a verb or delay, an hpf-pre and more watts.

Yeah I'd go spalted maple.... for about 400$ looks to be pretty beast. Buy one and report back So i can decide if i want to order one or not. :D

Nick/Dunwich - My boss is an older tube/tape head/electrical mad scientist. We were discussing the importance of neat wiring the other day so I sent him a gut shot of one of your amps that you posted in a previous iteration of this thread. He was very, very impressed.

i somehow missed this ****. Thanks for the share, that always puts a smile on my face.

Dunwich: You really ought to make some patches with your wizard logo on it too. I'm thinking of putting together a "doom" battle jacket out of an old sweatshirt and I'd love to have some awesome custom builders on there. Plus I just love the logo you put on the Annunaki.

ill add that to the thing I am considering making, thanks for the suggestions

I'd jump on that LP copy. Epoch is a cool-sounding name anyway.

*** is up with that "Stratacaster"?

Not sure, I wonder if the "handle" is the whammy bar lol.

The Epoch guitars were made by Baldwin piano (almost 100% positive on this.). They were about $100 new with lame amp and lame accessory kit. Worth $35. Might be a good mod platform. Play it first, make sure it is atleast playable.

Well it was a 10 minute drive, their lawn was sprinkled with dollar store lawn art, and their porch covered in 7-11 trash and used Q-tips. I knocked and met two crack head ladies, who saw I was counting $1's and said just give us $30 not $35, so I did.

So $30, solid heavy thing doesn't even have a carved top, it's flat with wraparound bridge. Never really owned a les paul style guitar/humbucker equipped guitar. I figure $6 pack of strings clean it up, and play it for a bit or sell it on for $50. It's LEAPS better than the LP/SG Epi jr. stuff at guitar center. Says baldwin/gibson education on the strap and neck plate.

NCD!!!
