Really? I could have sworn it was a Lynch flick. Must have gotten all sidetracked by deborah Unger and missed it.

So, since it seems like my old, failing body won't allow me to play bass much (as it stands), or guitar, what the heck am I gonna play for my music fix?
I was contemplating drums, but I have tendonitis in both thumbs that flares up when I have to grip things, so I'm leery of trying them.
I could buy a keyboard to make beepy/synthy noises....or heavy faux electric bass.
Hello.
I play in a stoner band too, The Dead Shamans, quite new but already a lot of gigs in the fingers :

We will record our first album in November, after less than 1 year of activity.
Taurus Pedals!
Hate that movie. I've watched almost every DL movie and haven't liked a single one, I keep trying though ha ha

these movies rule. watch them again. blue velvet is overrated as ****.
I've seen them enough ha ha. I just can't get into it. He's weird for the sake of being weird and not driving the plot forward
Naked Lunch is pretty F-ed up.
just so were clear:
David Lynch movies:
Elephant man (his best movie IMO)
Dune
Mullholland drive
Lost Highway
Blue Velvet
Eraserhead
twin peaks (show)
Cronenberg:
Eastern Promises
History of Violence
The Fly
Naked Lunch
Dead Ringers
Scanners
if you havent seen elephant man, i highly recommend it. one of the best movies of the 80s, seriously unreal movie. if you dont cry at the end of the movie you might as well donate your heart to science or a black metal band.
MD is better than lost highway (although watching patricia arquette get nailed is awesome lol), but MD is so awesome on so many levels. its just a way more mature and better version of lost highway.
Well... cheaperthandirt.com has 500 rounds of the cheapest garbage .223 is $129 currently, 500 rounds of the cheapest garbage 7.62x39 is $112. .223 is a really common hunting rifle round, so I'd expect that locally, in a zombie apocalypse scenario, .223 would be more common to scavenge for. 9mm would be the most common, and I currently want a 9mm just for that reason. I have .223/5.56, .45 auto, and .357 mag/.38 special covered now.
I'm not a fanboi, I chose an AR but still highly respect the AK. Given what you said though you outta look into AR's. On the flipside, the AK would be more reliable with less maintenance and upkeep. I was thinking of going AK for that reason, but then realized that my AR cleaning kit is the size of a pop can, and if soldiers can clean their rifles daily in the field, no reason I can't clean mine.
I'd be more confident that I could hit a man-sized target at 200 yards in a single shot with the AR over the AK. I have no doubt I'd nail it within 3 shots of the AK, but the accuracy of the AR is pretty menacing.
Been emailing back and forth with Nick all afternoon. Mad scientist pedal creations may be in the works. That's what happens when I have pedalboard fueled GAS and access to this thread all day at work.

Also Ancient might get a kick out of this. Totally blasting Corn on Macabre into work this morning
So, a few days later and I'm still not feeling anything for this green Ric. This is the first time in a couple of years that I've bought a bass that wasn't at least 25 years old. Maybe I just don't like new basses =P It's 10 years old but pretty mint. I just like the blue one a lot more.

You have some valid points my friend, I'll have to look into the AR's and see if the price difference will be worth it. Thanks for the info!
A Serbian Film
Enter the Void
Are the two craziest movies I've seen recently. I'm sure there were more. But those stand out.

That's your inner hipster telling you it's no good because it's not vintage.
