Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Part 28: Chicken Pot Pie

Wow, new thread already?!

Anyway still on the hunt for a filter. super fatman arrived today. i 'll try it on saturday. a lot more subtle and nowhere near as much quack as i had originally feared. very wah like.

i'm not sure what you disliked about the mini mu but this thing is an absolute monster! dialed it in unison with my clean and dirty tone, put it before the el oso - all the switches on low, peak at about 11 o'clock, quite high gain - flicking it on when doing a fill with the el oso sounds absolutely amazing. once we do some recordings over the next couple of weeks i'll post in-band clips.

best pedalboard addition in forever, thanks sam!

Been emailing back and forth with Nick all afternoon. Mad scientist pedal creations may be in the works. That's what happens when I have pedalboard fueled GAS and access to this thread all day at work.

i thought it sounded great but it i found the input gain too sensitive and hard to set. I don't typically get a lot of time to setup at shows and dialing it in just right for a clean tone and one with fuzz in front was too hard.

The super fatman is not exactly easy to set up but it doesn't seem as sensitive as the mini mu to how much input gain is going into it so when i turn the fuzz on the filter is still stays in the sweet spot i set it to.
