Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Part 28: Chicken Pot Pie

On a side note of banjos...I always thought they were the perfect instrument for self defense. Think about it, walking down a dark lone alleyway, strumming you banjo Deliverance style, no ones gonna fvck with you for fear of rape and by chance some one doesnt know the song enough to fear it and comes close enough, you are holding a 15 lbs mallet, bash the dude over the head. I think it might hold its own in a Zombie Apocalypse as well.

Ummm, I don't think they weigh all that much, do they? And, that's a pretty spindly neck to use as a warhammer handle.

I'd rather be playing a kazoo, and carrying an actual warhammer.

You know some say imitation is the sincerest way of flattery. Wouldn't be the first time I've ripped something off without consciously knowing it. One of the riffs I play in VEGA is a "tribute" to Pink Floyd's Money, the riff is in Oddball.

I think this is true for just about every songwriter. there's a section in one of MONOBROW's songs that sounds like a slowed down version of "Working Man" by Rush.

What do you guys think about the Orange Terror 1000 for stoner rock. I'm upgrading from an Ampeg B2R (I know!), and run through two 4x10 Ampeg cabs. And my Big Muff pedal is on ALL THE t.

And feel free to add my band to your directory...
