last i checked theres talking in all david lynch movies. i havent seen eraserhead tho, so maybe there isnt in that movie? haha
most uncomfortable movie ive ever seen was Salo, not sure id wanna watch that one again. just a horrendous visual experience.
By the time I watched that movie I was so desensitized that it didn't even bother me.
I guess that is what I get for watching all the Italian cannibal films, Miike films, 70s revenge films (Thriller, Last House on the Left, I Spit on Your Grave, etc) and Men Behind the Sun. You want a difficult to watch film then get a hold of Men Behind the Sun.
I didn't think Drive was bad, but I think my friend who I saw it with summed it up best, "It was just a bunch of people killing other people." That is a little overly simplistic but on the whole there wasn't much to that film it was just very stylish.

I just fear amputation in general to a great extent.
I did watch a show a few times once about a company that made custom prosthetics, was kind of interesting.
I think it's just the intangibles... how I feel when I'm playing it and what not. The tone is definitely different but still good. The neck is thick but still very comfortable and fast. Maybe something with how it balances? I feel like I'm fighting the bass instead of being a part of it.
I downloaded that movie like a year ago and the woman never wanted to watch it so I never got around to it. Then I saw it on one of the movie channels I get last night and watched a few minutes. Seems pretty awesome, although a lot of it just seems to be grizzled Viking dudes staring at each other. I'll have to make sure I watch it.

So has Ampeg, Peavey, Carvin, fEARful, and just about every other manufacturer of bass cabs I've seen..... It boggle's my mind the psychoacoustic properties of reading something on an online forum...
I'm just kidding. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong about mixing drivers in general. But I do not think a 410 with a 115 is a smart pairing.
Oh I know it was more a generalized statement towards those who do. I agree with a 4x10 and a 1x15 being not smart pairing. the best success I've had is 2 smaller to 1 larger generally works out real well, like a 4x12 + 2x15 or in my case a 6x12 + 3x15. I would think a 4x10 + 2x15 would be a much better pairing, all though i do really want to convert an Ampeg fridge into a 2x18 to try an 8x10 + 2x18 combo out....

It is a really interesting condition because it is not a fetish. The ones who have gone through with it almost always are fulfilled by the procedure and go on to live happy lives. The human brain is a really weird place.
And don't you know that downtuning makes the neck prematurely age?

If downtuning prematurely aged your bass, tons of people on TB would buy 2 of every bass. One to play and one to downtune for 5 years, in order to increase mojo. Then you sell the pristine one at a profit, tune the other back up and enjoy your sweet vintagized bass. Something like "It's because of the larger sonic waves, they propagate through the wood grain much slower than standard tuning, simulating years of playing" would be the explanation.
I watched this movie when the wife was out of town one weekend. It made me feel like I was high.
I liked Drive, it's like a study in visual metaphors for characters. Case in point, when the driver pushes the girl to the back of the elevator slowly, commits a brutal act of violence, looks forward out the elevator, back at her...then exits and the door closes behind him. I shouted at my wife "He's never going to see her again! He's made his choice!". There was a lot of high volume semiotics discussion in our house that day. Plus, we both like the babygoose.

nothing would match, you'd have a 24" sub bass and then a 12", 15" and 18"
