Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Part 28: Chicken Pot Pie

Also worth mentioning, I built my AR from parts ordered online from various USA manufacturers for about $800 all said and done. It uses higher quality components than an $800 off-the-shelf DPMS or Bushmaster (in my opinion.) I'd never even shot an AR before assembling one. Thats not the smartest way to do it, and I was alittle nervous pulling the trigger for the first time, but its run about 750 rounds now without a failure.

LOL. this made me think of the simpsons episode where Homer made his own cocktail, drank it, then waved his hand in front of his eyes and said "Well, not blind, must be OK."

Dude...just reading the wikipedia on A Serbian Film when it came out gave me nightmares. I never want to see that movie. All my friends who have seen it say they will never watch it again.

Antichrist should be another.

One of the stranger movies I really liked was Begotten, you stare at the screen for like 5 minutes trying to figure out what you're looking at and then it clicks and you're like "oh s, I spent 5 minutes watching that"

lol, begotten is so over the top. you wanna talk about try hard. dont get me wrong, im glad i saw it and its fun to talk about, but aside from just making you feel uncomfortable, theres not much else to it.

same director did Shadow of the Vampire, really liked that movie, great performances, and a very cool story.

Antichrist, I've seen and agree with. Begotten I have not seen yet. Is A Serbian Film worth seeing? I'm tired of all the torture porn out there.

Begotten created a great atmosphere though. My wife really likes Shadow of the Vampire but I haven't seen it.

I hope some of you can help me out!

I already asked in the last thread, but since they fly by pretty quickly, I hope that you can share your thoughts on the ampeg pf 410 hlf with me!

http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f15/ampeg-pf-410-hlf-15hf-what-do-they-sound-like-920350/

My thread seems to go in the "dont mix those cabs", "check out some custom builder that does not produce in your country" direction. Which is not helpful for the question i asked.

And don't you know that downtuning makes the neck prematurely age? :ninja: C'mon, this is all general TB knowledge here...

I don't get those guys.

definitely an atmospheric movie for sure, and definitely weird. i just usually like my movies to have ya know, a script. but for what it is, its cool.

def see shadow of the vampire. john malcovich and wilem defoe are both so killer in it, and the story is just cool as all hell.

Begotten is cool. Weird like Eraserhead, but way more grainy, hard to make out what's going on.
If you like Enter the Void, check out the last movie the director made. Irreversible.

A Serbian Film is actually a good movie. It's just really messed up. If you're just watching it for the messed up scenes and nothing else, you won't get much from it.

Don't think I've seen Antichrist yet.

Happy birfday Blender.

Vallhalla Rising is amazing!

But yet you like DL... :D

Yeah I might acquire it over the weekend
