I just watched The Avengers last night for the first time. It was awesome, and for over two hours long, it didn't feel like it was dragging at all. Very fluid story and action. Probably one of my favorite comic book movies to date.

Yeah I loved The Avengers. I thought it was really cool how a part of the movie has an "unbeatable" enemy, so until they closed the giant portal in the sky you were able to see the super heroes using their super powers to their full extent. I thought the Iron Man movies were pretty good, but growing up Iron Man was my favorite super hero and I finally got to see him just go ape **** killing things in The Avenger.

And since I mentioned a movie, no one responded, and then 10 pages later everyone is talking about movies, Moonrise Kingdom was really good!

I'm going to see Looper tonight. Lots of movies out that I want to see, but I'll probably wait til most of them are available digitally. End of Watch, Dredd 3D, The Master, Lawless, etc.

Another weird but awesome movie is Troll Hunter and it is on Netflix. All subtitles as the movie is in Finnish, but it is sweet.

I haven`t had a chance to see it yet but I really like Wes Anderson films. I`m however taking my girlfriend to go see Looper tonight!

I thought that movie was awesome! That hunter coming out of the woods yelling Troll! was hilarious! Nexflix is pretty good at having random good movies.

Heh, I'm surprised so many of you have seen Trollhunter. Guess it appeals to certain folks. I've been trying to convince friends to watch it, only one of them did.

I thought the middle of the Avengers dragged a bit, but the interactions of the entire team in the end action sequences were pretty awesome. The Hulk was easily the best he's ever been in a movie. Really great stuff from him.

The two Iron Man movies are the only Marvel films I haven't seen. I've always heard good things, but never sat down and watched them. I need to get on that.

Seen the first Iron man twice. Ruined the first time because of a mexican baby that kept popping up in front of me and squealing, after a huge dank session so I was very distracted.

Second time I saw it I realized I didn't like the movie. Didn't like dark knight returns either. I think I don't like most super hero movies.

Spider man 1-2 and batman begins and dark knight are all I can really say I liked a lot.

Anyone watch the League on Netflix?

I wanted the Lull P4 That was only 7.5lbs through bass central. I sent them an email asking if they had any sub 8lb basses in the $1000 range. The guy basically laughed (he answered my question as professionally as he could, I think it was Beaver). But you could tell the guy wanted to be like, if you need it to weigh that much, you better come with cash.

Oh well, the Carvin kicks major booty too. If you don't believe me and Corey, just ask Ed Friedland. Another Pro who's opinion I respect.

You getting new bass GAS again, Laz? Flip the green Rick and order a Carvin already! I see a Radiation Green SBK in your future!

I liked that movie. A lot of people I told about it bad mouthed it along the lines of "eh, that movie is overhyped", which is a criticism I hate for anything. I hadn't heard anything about it, I just found it on Netflix Instant one weekend when I was home alone and said (to no one) "Hell yeah I'll watch a movie called TROLLHUNTER". It did not disappoint, trolls were hunted.

Felt the same way about Rare Exports, the weird evil Santa Claus movie. My wife found that one and wanted to watch it, we both ended up loving it.

Ayup, great basses. I never saw the Ed Friedland stuff until after I bought mine, but he gives a pretty fair and straight forward assessment of them. So does BassGear's review of them. I will get a chambered one, eventually.

And actually Joe I think I'm getting the opposite of GAS. Realizing I really only want my blue Ric and vintage Ibanez P. However I was offered a blue fretless 4 Stingray as trade bait for the Guild. I was tempted but that would just get flipped in a couple of weeks...

Lots of companies make great basses, but not everyone wants the same thing. Plenty of people here have super cool gear that I think is great, but would never buy.
