Maybe I was looking at better models, but are Carvin's amps and cabs cheaper than their basses?
Cheaper, yes. But they kick serious ass.
Tomorrow I'm taking possession of a B1500, and gigging with it....
Oh I didn't mean like lack luster. I got one of their 2x10's, trying to unload it, but man it did not hold it's value, got it on sale for $330 with white tolex, and even at $250 It's been coasting for months on craigslist.
I want the BX500, just need to flip some stuffs.
I think there's a perception of cheap-ness associated with Carvin amps and cabs. Not really sure why. I have the same thing with Hartke, and it's probably not true at all, but the only time I see their gear is the cheap stuff on CL.
I feel ya. I've been trying to unload my GK Backline gear for a while now. I paid something along the lines of $600 for the whole thing brand new and barely played it. I managed to sell the head to a TB'er for $150, but the cab is really tough to get rid of. I've dropped the price to $100 and not so much as a nibble.
Just started watching the first 5-6 episodes. It`s pretty funny but i`ve got to be in the mood to watch it.
I judge all comic book movies against this one.

I loved the Punisher as a kid. It was my favorite comic. The Dolph movie was good in that early 90`s way. But why the hell did he live in the sewers?
Grabbing a Pedaltrain PT-1 off Craigslist for $50! Not bad.
Also just did a final A/B of the Rics. As much as I like the way the green on looks, I like the blue one better. Didn't dump that much money into it to have a decoration piece. Probably putting it up on the block this weekend! Oh well. Just another cog in the great wheel of Mr. Personality's GAS
However, downsizing to two basses is not so bad. Frees up some cash to try more pedals.

Rics'll do that to you. They're so pretty people will learn to play bass just to have a reason to own one. My guitar player in my cover band has one, and it just sits around looking good. Damn shame, really.
i think it has a lot to do with Al worship and OM than anything else.

What makes a band sludge compared to say stoner rock or doom?
Was just listening to some eyehategod and crowbar they have a similar tone a bit, not quite doom, but not sure what the difference is.

200W tube head, quad of KT88s on top of a 2x15/1x18. Or/Mat in design with heavy OD available, a 500W Class D on the other side with an Acoustic style preamp, design for clean huge low end.
100 watts tube, 500 watts class D for me. Zero need for a blend knob for low end anywhere.
i've played them a bunch of times- they are really sweet! They are usually pretty light too. i'm not sure if they are worth the $, but they are nice. honestly though, i hate the look of the headstock.
