Idk if it's because everyone is at least vaguely racist there it seems or not but they talk about Chinese people like they just appeared here in the US, you'd half expect them to think they're still building the railroad across America and that's why they showed up.

Ya herd about thisin new thang cawld Chianese, youngen, that's whera wez fixin ta go! I shouldn't make fun, since I got this goofy blend of NEPA Northern slang which is crazy retardded made up words and that is mixed with a bit of Southern drawl from bouncing back and forth over the Mason-Dixon line, lol.

My girlfriend's family loves buffet's too but they live on a fixed income so it is understandable, but at least their favorite one in Williamsburg has Mongolian Grill, pizza, and french fries!!! Goddamn Mongolians!!!

I have a Chinese Malay aunt on my Texas side of the family, and my grandma asked her how her people make chicken so tender in the sesame chicken. My aunt had to clue her in that white people don't eat real Chinese food however good it might be.

Oh and my grandpa says black people only eat honey and feed it to their dogs which kills them, so never give one a dog, any idea where that stereotype comes from or did he make that up himself??

I myself don't eat fish, but at night the business building bistro gives away all it's sushi and people think it's the best deal ever. Doesn't that seem unsettling to you?

That is awesome that might be a regional thing or maybe it came to him in a dream, I can't stop laughing about the honey, priceless. You need to make a book of quotes from him, that is just awsome! It's not true though as we only buy the Peter Pan Honey Roast(righteous peanut butter BTW!) and we always let our dogs lick the near empty plastic jars clean as a treat and to get them cleaned up for the recycle bin!!!

i love crack the skye more than most but the guitar work is so epic i just love it. its also their best album in terms of dynamics, and not just riffs strung together.

I loved Remission when it came out, because it was so diverse and weird mix of styles at the time. Leviathan took a few listens to connect, but now it's one of my favorites. Blood Mountain I was along for the ride, enjoyed it, but haven't listened to it much since. I haven't really kept up with Mastodon's albums since then. Remission and Leviathan I still listen to pretty frequently. I've always been kind of bewildered by their musical trajectory though, they seem to go back and forth between wanting to be really weird and progressive and being kind of a straight forward heavy metal festival circuit band.

crack the skye is their most intelligent and complex album. its all like one giant song with tons of ups and downs. its probably their best vocally, and the guitar work is tops.

again, its not riffy, which is why i like it. its easy to string a bunch of riffs together and call it a song, its very difficult to weave different concepts in and out of one another for an entire song, and they hit it out of the park on that album.

blood mountain gets my least because of that stupid wannabe bungle song on it, something blade? that song is straight up ****ing terrible, and its smack in the middle of the album. probably the most out of place try hard garbage the band ever did lol.

Hey Guys, do I recall that lots of you use an el Oso for low gain? I'm looking for an "always on" sort of pedal, and seem to recall lots of you guys using/liking the el Oso for that. Clips I've seen make it sound a little too...buzzy at high gain settings. Thoughts? Also, any experience between the Bluebeard and Greystache? Sounds like the Stache can get more middy and modern, whilst the Bluebeard is more huge and traditional. I'm very impatient, is the GGG Muff really nearly identical to a bluebeard? I don't think I could wait months/years for a Bluebeard from Sonny. :( And last but not least, Will the Bluebeard murder my Green Russian Bubble Font Muff?

Before I got my EGC, I was running my Ric with flats into the El Oso with the gain set low and the tone set to have a decent amount of unaffected low end. It did great getting me some low gain grit and added sustain. You can hear what I'm talking about in this video pretty well:

Your comparison between the BB and GS is pretty accurate. I feel like the GS is a little more swiss army knife, whereas the BB tone is a little more baked in. They come pretty close to the same tonal space. Not many people say they like one but not the other. The GS is more readily available, so if you can't get your hands on a BB, the GS is a great option and I'd say they're probably neck and neck as far as muffs go and the "winner" is going to come down to personal preference. I don't think you can lose with either.

No experience with the other pedals, sorry! Somehow I got lucky and the Bluebeard was the first muff I purchased early into my bass career, and I've never felt the need to look elsewhere :)

Ok let's see here:
Always on pedals-rat tail and nuke boost
Grey stache > Bluebeard on bass, opposite in guitar.
Bubble font > BB
BB > GGG

To note this is all IMHO and I own all but the GGG. Also the RT is the only pedal I have ever heard that I can maybe a amp sound like a overdriven amp at lower volumes. I did just get one of my "holy grail" pedals and ill post pics later. Probably one of the best overdrives I've ever heard.

I had a GGG tuned muff made and I couldn't hear a difference from my Bluebeard IMHO. I sold Jmac my GGG tuned muff since it didn't make sense to have two muffs of the same flavor. Not like the difference from a Bluebeard to the Skullytone and Green Russian clones I had.
Right now I am loving my EQD Speaker Cranker for low to mid gain and easy to move that chicken knob with your foot plus they are like $60/65 used.
