Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Part 82: Comfortable with Derision

I hated Leviathan when it first came out as I was a big fan of Remission, and hadn't caught on to clean vocals yets.

Now Leviathan is my favorite, then Remission, Blood Mountain, that call of the mastadon with the early recordings is ok, but I don't really count it for some reason. I only like one track off crack the skye really. Never heard the last one...or two?

I was fortunate enough to hear them right before Leviathan, so I've been able to ride the wave.

I like all of them equally....except for The Hunter.

A couple of REALLY good songs mixed in with some random songs that do nothing for me.

I'm a big fan of Matt Bayles productions and Leviathan/Remission are my favorite sounding albums.

I'll respond to all cause they are similar, but quote squanch only (sorry others).

Beyond the fact she is indeed tainted meat, part of the reason things started to turn is my push to get her to university and start a small in home baked goods thing for under the table money, as she only had a student visa and she originally was schooled to be a pastry chef. She took none of my wishes seriously, and still has no interest in achieving more. Instead she took a job at a hotel front desk. So she's super boring now and also I lost like 8" off my waist and totally transformed myself lol so I'm about upgrading right now lol.

Also I straight up told her everything about my neighbor, which you guys don't really know about, but joe does lol. That didn't push her away, so maybe I do get to ignore or say something epically rude... Neat.

That's where I came in. Also a huge Bayles fan, so I've been bummed they haven't been working with him.

I don't blame Mastodon for making The Hunter at all. I consider it similar to Metallica but on a smaller scale. They essentially got as big as they possibly could be in the sludge metal scene and created several iconic albums. The obvious next step was to make as much money as possible by still doing what they loved, so they worked with a mainstream producer and made a more radio friendly album. I don't like it, but I understand why they did it.

Oh man, hope he's OK. If they catch it before it bursts they have a pretty amazing non-invasive method of removing it now. I remember Ben Roethlisberger had that done a few years ago and I think he was playing again in a week. In college, my roommate's actually burst and it was a horrible experience for him.

Dude you are young, tap all that arse you can unless by some miracle you are real lucky and find a good one worth investing in real soon. If she ain't the type to apologize then she ain't worth conversation, and probalby your only revenge is snubbing her anyway, but even revenge snubbing is a waste of time and energy, just drop her I say. A better use of your energy is trying to take the neighbor gas down the back alley to the ATM!!! You know build some good stories, so when you have Grandkids you got something fun to talk about, lol.

Oh yea like ex is dust, I'm just not someone to get worked up or have emotions get in the way of things, so maybe that's why what I said sounded weird. But no plans whatsoever to ex it up that's gone with history, if she wants to think we can be friends that's her deal. I got my own worries and like I said she failed to live up to my expectations and hasn't met them since we split so what's there for me anyways.

Funny thing is the neighbor actually does have her degree , but by the fact I call her neighbor should suggest she's not a keeper, (and thankfully not related to Jim neighbors as that'd be a scary female face).

Hmm sounds like a way to make natural wine corks if that passed lol.

I never really been constipated before, longer wait time maybe but not much. Couple months ago I was eating funny I guess and nothing ever came then finally at like a 10th need it half came and I was confused, so I made myself a TP gauntlet and pried out Excalibur and all was well in the kingdom.

Ok it was more of a push knife than a sword, but still.

A buddy of ours also named Joe(it's a Yankee thing) just had to go to the hospital and stay a few day because he had been constipated so long. What goes up must come down finally happened for him though, nothing major. Joe is the type who thinks Chinese Buffet is fine dining, so he may have ate some ceiling times crumbles that accidentally fell in and mixed with one of his dinners and still ate it after saying does this taste bad to you...

They do love you long time.

Yea whenever we go visit family in South Carolina if they want to impress us they take us to Applebee's or a Chinese buffet lol.

Idk if it's because everyone is at least vaguely racist there it seems or not but they talk about Chinese people like they just appeared here in the US, you'd half expect them to think they're still building the railroad across America and that's why they showed up.
