damn, your totally right!!

...but considering the intention is to be as silly and horrible as possible with that project. the band practically ripped a hole thru space and time with our 3 year epic journey to reproduce the Beatles White Album (all available free online)

Yeah, The Hunter isn't as memorable as the others. Its got some great singles...but its not really a "start-to-finish" kinda album.

The Ruiner and Deathbound off the deluxe edition are excellent, though. Dry Bone Valley is also one heck of a single. Really digging how Brann's taken up more lead vocal duties since Crack the Skye.

You're right about that, i think it would work just fine. Sounds like a fun project you got going! I'd go see that, it's a good idea because people will be familiar with the music, but you guys still get to be creative with the way it's played and presented.

cliff notes, awesome! mastodon came out a little late for me to catch on to them initially but ive heard some stuff I really like. around 99 the last thing I was looking for was another "metal" band.

I know a lot of people don't list BM as their favorite Mastodon album but I absolutely loved Troy's playing on that album and it really influenced me as a bass player. It might not be readily apparent and I know theres lots of "better" players but Troy has probably been one of the biggest influences on me as a bassist.

I wrote another new song on Sunday night, but I only got around to recording the guitars just now. My wife had a friend in town for the day who she hasn't seen in a while, so I didn't have any time to bang out the guitar tracks yesterday.

I took a drive a couple hours south today, near San Luis Obispo (outside Paso Robles) and picked up some reclaimed barn wood for projects. The wife found a nice bistro close by she wanted to check out, so we made a day of it. I got two big pieces of circular sawn 2"x6" oak rafters and two big pieces of 2"x10" pine tongue and groove flooring. They have some nice really rough surfaces that could look pretty cool with some light sanding. Enough to make 2-4 bodies I think, I'll find out once I get a chance to mill them and make some blanks. The owners were really nice too, told them what I was looking for, they let me pick through and find some good pieces and the wife got to socialize with their fat old shop cat, "Woody".

So me and my ex parted ways on nasty terms last April, and we haven't spoken a word since. Well couple days ago I was typing in a name to text and hers showed up even though it's not in the contacts, so since she's Canadian and her visa ended a while back I asked of she was gone half expecting a confused stranger to answer, but I guess she got a new visa and moved back again for some reason.

Then she immidiately tells me how she's saved my contact info waiting for the day I might say something... So now I have to talk a bit, mainly me telling her that while I can talk to her fine she's seriously the only person in the world I actively dislike for real reasons and I don't see a chance or reason to ever be her friend. So she texts me tonight like I'm her best pal and i talked about what I've done since but again said I dont see the point in this and she says she understands but keeps talking.

Like I said I actively dislike her, but it doesn't bother me to talk to her. I just ask why does she think we're just gonna be pals? It's weird and she downplays the whole thing without apologizing, which again if you were to never talk to me again don't apologize that makes sense, but if your gonna sit and wait for me to stumble upon you, and jump out like we're bros you 'd think you'd say sorry first thing.

I wouldn't feed her anymore, friend. She clearly has no regard for your feelings towards her and is only interested in what she wants - be it a friendship or something else. By giving her the courtesy of talking to her, even if its to tell her you don't like her, she's convincing herself that you WANT to talk to her.

Just cut ties, I say. Ignore her calls, don't respond to any messages. Its a **** way to drop this, I'll admit, but girls like her don't budge unless you leave them in the cold.

Love the song, that would be the perfect background music for a movie scene where a serial killer is driving a sweet classic car slowly through a highly populated area while scoping out for his next victim!!!

Dude, don't look back, you will turn to salt!!! It's mean but drop her cold style. When you take a band aid off do you do it slow so you feel ever hair get yanked individually or do you make a fast clean break. Earn your battle scars and the wisdom that comes from break-ups/bad relationships, and use that intillegence the next time around, now you know the warning signs and also what you have done well and wrong. I never waste time on exes or friends I don't deem worthy anymore. Be on the prowl for fresh meat, that meat has already spoiled!
