Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Part 82: Comfortable with Derision

Totally had a dream last night of my two piece playing a show, people were cyrusing it, and then I had some major technical difficulties, my Peavey PA200 blew up in a sparkling blaze of doom filled glory. It was awesome and depressing at the same time. But the fact that people were cyrusing it in the dream world gives me hope for the real world...

Sparks and smoke would be a cooler way to go than just a silent amp failure.

So far I'm footing the detailing bill. $100. The place charges extra for puke remediation apparently. The guy offered to pay last night. We shall see.

Cold weather eats in the oven.

No new gear. No band prospects. Hands get achey-er by the day. General bummer for music-related stuff.

But, I'm accepting of it all, and am not going to be all maudlin about it. I can still listen and enjoy music, so I'm quite content to just noodle to stuff through the headphones, and jam with friends when the opportunity arises.

Rock on.

WellI was referencing Cyrus from the movie The Warriors, because he said "Can yoooooooouuuuu dig iiiiiiiiiiiiiit?"

Ah. That'd be a great text tone.

So the puke-e paid in full. Nice having responsible and respectful friends.

Ordered a earthquaker devices organizer. Should arrive Monday. Got it new for $160. Hoping it'll do the job I was wanting a micro pog for. We shall see.

Man that reminds of the dreaded tooth falling dreams I have had. You wake up abd nervously check that all your teeth are still there, and relax it was just a dream. Is my cab still there...

So I'm not the only one that has that dream. Never had a single cavity, toothache or braces, so idk why I'm so concerned about it in my dreams.

Though tbh I have a very odd oral hygiene routine which involves brushing every few days, lots of flossing and mouth wash. Came from a concern that I was going to eventually erode my teeth like the Grand Canyon... Weird I know but like I said never a single issue with either set of teeth I had and they only praise the fact I don't got nasty teeth to clean twice a year. Also I always thought my teeth were quite carnivorous but he confirmed that's what a normal set of human teeth look like with no wear, normally they just wear away or come out blunted.

I am glad you used the ideas. They really make moving the cab beyond easy, even in tight stairwells which was one of my concerns. Did you go with the 3015's or 15PR400's?

Julian's handle config looks a tad peculiar, but I think it works perfectly :)

The shirt/poster design is killer, Laz. Straight up badass, really.

Any word for a vinyl release? Or....maybe a vinyl and poster combo pack :hyper:? I know you guys are forking the payment for these kinds of things yourselves, which takes time, but a guy can dream, right?
