Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Part 82: Comfortable with Derision

7:30 a.m. 8 degrees, windy, snowblowing, frozen.

In other news, ordered me one of those badazz elephant shirts!

Band practice tonight, we have a gig this Sat! It's weird going from gigging 5-7 times a month to once every six weeks. It sure is nice having the extra time, though.

**** man, sorry to hear about the troubles. Hopefully it's an easy fix. Sorry for recommending an amp that keeps cooking your drivers.

:hiding:

Haha no worries there. Despite its bs I still like the sound and functions of this amp enough that I'm taking it to a tech to see if they can identify and solve whatever the problem is. Then again if an amp tech can't find anything obviously wrong, I guess I'll be back in the amp market again.

I can fix my 2x15 now, I'll need another 3012LF to get my fEARful stack alive again. Dont really have the cash lying around for a $200 driver since I dont know what it'll cost to fix the amp, so we'll see what happens. At this point I just want a working amp/cab that I can jam with my band, as right now I have nothing.

I did, however, throw a feeler out to our local gear trading group on Facebook for 2x15's. Hoping to pick up 1 or 2 boxes for ~$150 each, spend another $150 or so on spare drivers, and NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT CABS AGAIN. And I really want to run 8 15"s at once, like a boss.

Hey Toast, FWIW- the last time I got a price on getting a 3015LF reconed at a local place here, it was around $90. A bit less expensive alternative than buying a new one. However, I haven't ever had a neo LF driver reconed, so I can't say as how good they turn out.
