I'd ask the company for there opinion, merely because perhaps one of those cap interactions might cause a comb filtering or some other issue.

I'd do bass 10 and custom 6 or guitar 6 if all worked ok. Probably dependent on how I really Intended on running the bass 10 realistically. Probably guitar though if you ever went just bridge pickup and wanted the slightly lower setting.

that's what i was thinking. in the emails the guy recommended the guitar 6 and bass 10 for stereo, but i'm not sure if it's just sales talk or if it will actually work well and if it's worth the money!

I went out last night and saw North (Tucson AZ), Oryx (Las Cruces NM), and locals Goya and Take Over And Destroy at the relatively tiny Tempe Tavern.

Every cab on stage was mic'd for each performance.

I have no idea why.

For Christ's sake, Tommy from Oryx (guitar-drums 2-piece) was rockin his Epiphone Les paul through a fecking Peavey CS1200 (stereo SS power amp, 600W per side) into a 8x10 on one side and a goddamned Worshiper cabs prototype ported 4x15 on the other side. You're gonna mic that? in a room the size of a three car garage???? Oh yeah and ALSO an Electric tube head on a 4x12. Maybe that was just the drummer's monitor.

sounds stupid, but IEMs? saw Kylesa and they did this in a pretty small venue.

right i see. i ask because i'm trying to find the best crossover point for my pickups with Tonestylers installed

i intend on having the bass tone knob be the Bass Ten (naturally), but i am trying to decide between the Bass Six (.047uf), Guitar Six (.022uf) or the Custom Six (.01uf) for the Bridge tone in order to have a kind of internal "crossover" within the bass when set correctly to make the signals even more separate.

I'd do guitar ten/custom ten and bass ten,
Doing what your doing:for the bass side you want those last three clicks on the left. For the bridge (guitar)side I'd want the first 4 on the right of the custom ten.

The last click on the left for the bass ten is seriously dubby and as you go above it they get slightly clearer and clearer-adding chirp as you go.

Sheesh... Started the setup of the T-45 I picked up from Jason!

Who would have thought an old Pevey would have an 8mm nut for the truss rod.
Had to bust out the .25" ratchet with a swivel and extension to get the socket in there.

Also had to enlarge one hole on the bridge cause it wouldn't pass the .130 B string.

Tuned and gonna let it settle a little before I get down to string height adjustments.

It's close though, real close.

Bummed the last schaller strap locks I have on the shelf are useless. The threads on the locks are pitted and shallow. One will not take the nut at all.

Got my place cleared up. My front room is now my bedroom/music room. Putting foam in the windows and I can flip my mattress over the door/window if it gets loud. But my neighbors are loud themselves and another is deaf.

Røde in my friends van to his show and he wrecked. Under an overpass and the people we hit are super methy and have a newborn and called the police apparently and the lady made our friend in the other car following drive Her away before the police because she was so "stressed".

You can put the strap on and then put the lock on after. (meaning the lock isn't attached to the strap) Not optimal but I do it.

So you know your a gear flipper when you show up to a venue you've never been to and they are using monitors and other PA equipment and you recognize the guy you sold stuff to running sound.

It certainly is not an EQ problem as I cut the low lows and keep the low boost switch off. I generally push the low mids and upper mids. As far as cabs go, I am using either an 810e or a Sunn 215 with a BW and a legend in it. I primarily use the 810 for gigs though. Either way, with one cab or both I have the same issue. It is never loud enough and the limiter is constantly on or flashing. I actually think there is something wrong with the amp itself as the limiter light just will not stay off, even with both the gain and master at noon. I used to have a 3 pro and felt like it was hugely overrated in terms of power and somewhat bland tonally. When I had the opportunity to grab this 4 pro for cheap I was hesitant because of my experience with the 3 pro. I had heard countless people speak of its insane volume and I figured I could work around the tone if it had the balls I was looking for. So far I have been completely unimpressed. The amp really is just a bigger heavier 3 pro, same overrated power section and the same bland tone. The amp does not even stress my speakers in the slightest way.

Maybe the mesa isn't the option for me. I definitely would like to try one in person, but in the great fly over state of Missouri, there isn't anyplace that carries the prodigy/strategy. Maybe a pre/power rig with a stupid powerful poweramp is the solution.

Where is your gain set? Turn that fuqer up until it is red. All. The. Time. Set the compressor at noon as well. Dont listen to it solo, get in the mix.

Buy two 8 ohm duallys and bridge it all together for the full 1200 watts into 4 ohms and 4x15s. That may get you loud enough.

Better off with two 4 Ohm duallies.

Made this tonight for the lady friend for V Day after looking around her favorite store and finding nothing that jumped out at me, also sticker shock. Wasnt hard, just took me a few tries to find the best way to do it. Gonna make a matching braclet too I think. My mom, my sister and my best friends fiance all want to put in an order already...

Guys, Ill take your old strings off your hands, I may have found my calling...

Strap sammich.... I get ya. It can wait till either Stew Mac or Schaller step up and replace these. There are several basses and straps here with these so I can mix and match. This is just one bad batch it seems that should have not been packaged. First time for everything.

If strap locks are too expensive or don't fit, lowes or Home Depot sells a pack of 4-8 washers that fit existing screws and act as permant locks unless you unscrew... It's ghetto, but cheap basses deserve such.

The original strap pins on a T40 are very study, your hardware store solution is probably unnecessary..... Texas.

Fender washers and a couple sheet rock screws.

Whats interesting is this is the one nickel finish set I picked up. All the others are black and had none of these issues. It's like the chrome shop left them in the etch tank too long and it ate most of the threads...
