I spent most of last week sick with probably the worst illness I have ever had that did not require hospitalization. I was feeling a little bit better Friday and decided to go into work that night. On Fridays I work by myself. I have the whole bakery to myself for like 4 or 5 hours. Its usually a time I value as a bit of decompression work, you know work at your own pace. I also happen to find my work relaxing in those conditions. We have been slammed with massive frozen orders and I figured I would help my team out and do some extra baking to ease up the next couple days. My "just returned from near death sickness" short shift ended up being 12 hours. No big deal as I like long hours and 12s really fly by at the bakery. Couldn't sleep all the next day so I went into work Saturday night on 1 hour of light RLS plagued napping. Found out that the Mexican who works for me caught my disease and had to leave. That left me and my other guy with 2000 lbs of bread to produce and pack in addition to his(mexicans) 650lbs. Turned into a 15 hour day with no breaks for Mike. I didn't have time to sleep before the Super Bowl, so I showered and went to my friends for the party. Didn't make it to sleep until 10pm; 2 days awake with 27 hours of work in there. WOOF.
I am thinking about going back to rounds on my main bass. I love my TI flats, but I think I will throw those on my standard tuned bass and get a little more bite back into my tone. I'm gonna go with Kalium .124-.094-.07-.053. I have just found Kalium to be incredibly consistent. I also hate nickel rounds with a passion and have lost my taste for hi beams.
