Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

so my turntable always made some static electricity.
yesterday I got a wicked shock and the turntable won't spin anymore.
bah...
anyone know where to get a cheap motor for a project debut 3?
besides that anyone know how to get reed of static so i don't ruin another one?

Speaking of turntables.
I got one from my guitarist when he bought some high end stuff.
It's Polish 80's made, but still pretty good.
Got it like 1,5 year ago, but it turned too fast no matter how I set it up. Turned out it had a little lightbulb that measured the turning speed burnt out. It took me until today to get it fixed. Now I'll actually be able to spin all those records I accumulated through last few years.
Now I'm sitting, sipping Jack and coke and thinking why did it take me so long to replace one stupid bulb? Go figure.

I know there's a joke in there about how many Polack's and changing a lightbulb, I just can't recall it.

Party for a friend of friend returning from Ecuador for a visit last night. Drank to the point I slept basically all day, and don't want to see another beer for a bit. Someone brought a tray of 100 cookies and we we're talking about how weird cookies are for a beer fueled party, but by 4am they were almost gone... Mmm white chocolate macadamia and modelo.

Good news is I got the number of a sexy Mexican, sexican? Prior to the party when we we at the store gathering supplies.

Was the sexican at the party?
You woke up alone?
I guess the number is better than nothing.

No no she worked at the store we bought the food and beer from prior to the party.

Not that there weren't some hot girls at the party, but they was all taken. It's a group of friends im new to. Also around 4-8 years younger than them all. most are Latin music study majors so it was a lot of spanish music being played and then some interesting beatles covers.

I had to wake up at 9am and drive to the mall to flip a bass anyways, That hurted.

Haven't had a chance to play it yet outside of the seller's garage but hoping to squeeze some solid hours during the week. That's my cab GAS cured.

Nice!!! Grats on the cab gas cure. Those are sealed right? What's the volume comparison to an 810e?

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Cabs may be questionable, but if the drivers are in good shape, 400 seems a reasonably good price for just the speakers yeah?
Yup, they're sealed. Every bit as good as an 810e minus the extra size and logistical headaches. Tons of volume and sounded HUGE through a GK 800RB. Can't wait to play it through my SVT and see what kind of hell I can raise.

Nice looking cab. I've always wondered about offset speakers like 610s or 412s...does that aid in volume or sound dispersion or something science-y like that? Or is it just aesthetics?

That is worth checking out. The TL-606 isnt perfect for the 3015 with out some tweaking, but it is close.

Doesnt do anything for the sound.

Damn so I have really detailed realistic dreams. I went to guitar center and accidently walked out with a used peavey tuxedo head (realized I stole it concluded I'll just shave before I go back again lol) and drove home to find a spider infestation inside it. So in clearing it out found out someone had stored 3 fuzz pedals and a phaser, all exactly things I've been gassing for.

Woke up so excited to jam...

Better than the other night when I fell into a cactus in my dream and had to physically feel every needle I pulled out Of myself.
