I have one of the 3 leaf audio groove regulators and i love it. Specially with a little fuzz on it to get that kind of dragonaut sound. I dont use it all that much in my band setting but i cant see myself getting rid of it either.
I just bought a deluxe xerograph.
I also have the vfe mini mu.
had the regulator and proton.
Had the big old qtron it was cool but I flipped it for 4x what I paid. Dragonaut was played with it as well lol.
Had a dude make a tolexed cab for my Sunn 2000s clone. Now she's ready to go out on the town! I had the "garnet" tolex lying around from an old project so I said "use it up".
Since I had another blank aluminum chassis the same size lying around, I had him make two. My default plan for next build is orange or80 clone but I'm open to suggestions... Place your vote!!

I had an MXR one a while back and gave it away to a pal that filled in for me on short notice. I dug it, though.

A review on musiciansfriend lead me to crack the bastard open and start sanding and gouging the electric dobro out, apparently reso cones are free floating and this bastard was bolted down and pressed against the wood so got to get to that point.
Also the sound hole in the upper bout is a fake. So I guess I'm going Jack white and installing a phone receiver and on/off, unless I find a better idea. Mic would allow for Raunchy bent over vocals/maybe it would pickup the reso in addition to the piezo/nasty feedback loop opportunity?
Actually after it happened (at work) he offered to GIVE me a $2000 complete sub setup. I turned him down as I thought it to much and I didn't really need it.

Also as much as I want new cabs, I was recently told by a friend of my lead guitar player(a former bassist in a past band) that I am incredibly loud on stage. Has me thinking that maybe some of my volume issues are in part due to my damaged hearing.

Good to hear though, no you can save up slower and get what you want cab wise on your own terms when you absolutely know what you want.
Goto an Audiologist, get custom plugs now. Hearing loss is an injury that is cumulative. Being partially deaf will reinforce the behavior that made you dead to start with (turning up).
Protect what your got so you can hear the tonal variety in that lovely T40.

As far as my hearing goes, I wear ear plugs religiously now. They aren't anything custom or audiologist approved, but they do a damn good job and I can still hear the fine details of the sound. Guitar for some reason just crushes my ears and makes it difficult to hear my bass. I recognize my hearing loss. Doctors have told me that there is definitely damage but not enough to warrant hearing aids. I annoy myself by having to ask people to repeat things. Strangely enough, I can hear the slightest squeak in whatever room I am in. Voices are the most difficult thing for me to hear.
Most of the hearing damage came from my early days of bass playing(full blast amps in a finished but small section of a basement on a daily basis), shooting high power rifles without plugs and having drunken college trumpet players blasting as loud as possible behind me in the stands. I was blaring my horn as well.
Ran around the lake. -9 wind chill. Jammed on Bongripper "Miserable." Fit well.
