Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

well, in his defense Sexy T has some really short, fat fingers, so his pinky is probably pretty worthless.

Got my first guitar in tonight! Loving it so far. It's got a bit of a chip in it that the pics didn't show, but that's why it didn't cost as much as identical models online I guess. Still, the chip is where my forearm will cover it while picking, and it gives it a bit of character. Don't want my "Les Paul" classin' up the metal joints too much! Anyway, I'm so stoked! Now, I just have to get used to that tiny string spacing thing. Weird.
What was unexpected was my pedal board scenario. I really don't have to do anything to my bass board settings to get good guitar settings. Absolutely shocked! Settings are identical, and I really like how they sound on guitar AND bass. All I've got to do is change volumes on the pedals. I don't use the B3K or JohnK Gamma Bass OD on guitar, but my Pharaoh and Blower Box are phenomenal sounding. I know they're both guitar and bass friendly by design, but I figured I'd be tweaking and need to have separate boards, but I don't! Can't wait til my Peavey Supreme comes in tomorrow so I can finally jam on MY rig, and not my buddy's. My Peavey cabs are already a noticeable upgrade from his Crate cabs, so I can only imagine when I get my Peavey Supreme in tomorrow...

I've recorded my AD200, F800 and Dwarvenaut into my OBC410s and been happy with each. Haven't recorded my 3620 yet, looking forward to trying out them 18s.
What circuit is the pharoah based on?
Also anyone with prime should watch borgman. Dutch film (you'll have to read), it's like a horror movie, but not gory or scary. I guess it's about demons old as humans, in a modern world.

It's been a while. I've been in hiding on and off for the past year but my G.A.S. is hitting me hard. Any of you guys make use of a chorus pedal? I've never used one and I wouldn't know how to apply it to Stoner/Doom but the Carl Martin Bass chorus is calling my name!!!

Reading the description doesn't do it for me. Playing it through a guitar amp rally doesn't do it for me.
Rex Brown couldn't save that dumb idea.
I've got TC Electronic Corona Chorus, but I don't really use it in the band. I just use it with a delay at home when I burn some trees and trip out.
Now I'm not saying it can't be good but it sounds pretty generic to me. Is there at least a half ass demo somewhere?

Holy poopie that's an expensive chorus, just get two small chorus' and place them next to Each other, and while your at it pay a few bills. And you'd still save money compared to that thing.
I have a chorus based on the Roland jazz chorus, it's fun. I've had a delta labs chorus I liked a lot too. My favorite ever (or maybe I knew no better) was the chorus on my old first amp a fender bxr 200 with a broken off rate co trip so I could only control the depth. Bass>fabtone>that amp sounded like the covenant drop ships in the first halo game. Sci fi Whirliness to those non gamers
