Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Not sure what that screen grab is illustrating, but I've pretty much given up trying to use the phone to view or post on TB. Tried 3 different Android browsers, all had different significant-to-severe problems. It takes 5 times as long to do anything - pain in the ass and not worth the time. PC only for me at this point. Which blows.
doom riff in 11/4 progressed to a basic structure of a song with three parts. it flips from 11/4 to 4/4 then to 9/4. Tried it out last night and it sounds pretty rad. 11/4 time has a really cool feel in my opinion.
Does anyone besides me feel sorry for this girl? I would hate to be a meme/object of ridicule on the interwebz.
In others news - looks like a first jam is actually happening tomorrow. I have high hopes, tempered with cautious optimism.

Btw.. I know I've gone on and on about winged c's before. But, over the last year or so I think I must have been spoiled because a lot of times in a thread about tubes I would say yeah they're good but not worth the extra money. But no.. I was just used to a good things and didn't notice the difference. today I dropped a set into my fender 300 and HOLY HELL! what a difference!!

I was driving from Arizona to New Orleans back in '91 and stopped into a record store somewhere around San Antonio.
(Anyone who has ever driven East-West through Texas knows that after a while you get to thinking "I'm never gonna get to the other damn side of this state!")
So I needed tunes and I walked out with a few things including Melvins' Bullhead album (on cassette!) I played that thing until the tape nearly came off the reels. Hadn't heard it in a good long while but it's what is in the queue today. It works just as well now as it did then to blow the cobwebs out of my head.

That's a classic album. shaging Boris is worth the price of admission alone.
Had this one on DVD for a while - 1991 w/ Joe Preston, supporting Bullhead. Killer!

Nice! I just did the same on the new SVT 2-PRO, but it's pretty idiot proof on that head. Turn the screw until the green light comes on, turn the second screw until the green light comes on. Done.

Dawned on me another album (cassette--hey--it's what my car had as a music player at the time!) I bought at the same spree and played to death was Dwarves' Thank Heavens For Little Girls. Not my fave Dwarves, but it's a bit of fun, good for driving and it only takes about 14 minutes to listen to the entire album...
If you have a riff that's four measures, and the measure time signatures go 4/4 5/4 4/4 4/4, is there an overall time sig for that or does the time sig just change every 2nd measure?
AKA 5-1/2 time, used in many Native American tunes - Counted "One and Two and Three and Four and Five and ah"

I'd just sig it 4/4 and write it with the proper number of beats in each measure. "Ring of Fire" is a tune that is mostly 4/4 but has 3 and 5 beat measures - I really hate hearing bands butcher than one
