I am a soul unfortunate enough to have started losing my hair at 18. I am now 26 and while the sides, back and crown of my head are thick as ****, the front-top of my dome piece is like a desert forest. Now I just use guard-less clippers and do it myself. On occasion I get a little frisky and razor shave it. I would do that more often if razors lasted more than one head shaving and didn't cost 5 bucks a piece.
@mbelue your new avatar reminds me of a tattoo that I will be getting in two weeks. A half sleeve on my right arm consisting of sci-fi and evil. Image is going to be of Cthulhu, but he will be wearing a bone mask in similar likeness to Predator's masks, but will some elephant style tusks. The face tentacles and body are going to be biomech in the vein of T1000 and/or the octopus bot things from the Matrix. Primarly black and grey with some green accents. I am pumped to see what my guy comes up with from the source material I sent him.
Had the first band practice in over a month last night. We were hashing out the framework for a new tune. Lots of low and slow pounding bass pedal tones with some frenetic guitar lines on top. A good chunk of the song features bass and drums in a different time sig than the guitars. It sounds awesome, I can't wait to play it live. Also got to use an ampeg 610 that was at the space. I brought my WT550 to throw on top. I have to say that I was wholeheartedly unimpressed, though I think maybe the bottom two speakers were not functioning. Cab still kicked out a lot of bass, but it seemed like the sound was primarily coming from the top 4 speakers. Left it with a thinner and MUCH quieter sound than I was expecting. If the cab wasn't ****ed then I know for sure a 610 is not for me. My eden was a let down once again. The amp sounds incredible in my apartment and probably with anything other than metal, but it is just awful for this project. Had the gain at 11 and the master at noon with a flat EQ and the power section was clipping pretty frequently. Not in a way that would indicate an amp issue, just an indication that the thing lacks balls. My homemade fuzz also kind of sounded like **** through it. Buncha feedback at volume when not playing unless the doom switch was disengaged and the gain was below noon. Whats interesting is that when I play it at home with substantial volume AND gain, I got no feedback and it sounded great. At the shed, with the doom switch it had that "too much gain" splatter sound. I don't know why that would change in such a way.
I am going to have to sell my SB-2. I am kind of bummed about it, but at the same time I am not. I don't know if my pickups have some kind of issue, it just isn't really that impressive sounding of a bass to me anymore. Doesn't have the teeth that I heard from it when I got it. I think the turning point for me was the installation of GZRs in my peavey P. I just think those pups hit the ideal P tone in my head. Need to sell to pay bills. If anyone is interested PM and I can send pics and offer a doom room discount, otherwise I am putting it up on CL today.
