Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Kawai the girlfriend's father and I were working her car last night and after we got done and cleaned up to have dinner I showed him the Jazzguarbird and he took it for a spin. What does he play...Chicago Transit Authority LOL. Sarah must love the pedals because she was click that one on for Daddy, Joe. I kicked on ol' Ron FN Swanson Super Fuzz and his eyes popped open and he had a ****-eatin' grin from ear to ear. Fuzz warms your heart!
So nice to hear other people playing your gear so you can really hear how it sounds.

Fuzz bringin' da fam together.

I think the coolest thing about finishing the Jazzguarbird is playing it through the TB500 and hearing the sound that was in my head. At Guitar Center in Richmond I would play an Epiphone Thunderbird Classic IV(the model with USA GIbby pups) through an Orange Terror Bass head and I loved the combination of those two together. Plus I get that sound with jazz bass comfort.

Had long hair twice, and did that locks of love thing. This thread and the mirror I just saw say it's time for a haircut.

My bosses aren't in the office and locked the door so chilling in an outer Conference room... I can see the boss brought me a cello he hinted at. Needs a bridge, but neat.

My ol' lady is a dog groomer and I have Cocker Spaniel type hair so it works out, though you get the no not tonight thing for haircuts and have to wait till she is in the mood LOL. So I have to get pretty shaggy before she goes oh boy you need a haircut bad. Micah has straight hair, so the poor thing ends up with the dumb and dumber cut, plus he is at the stage where baby teeth are falling out, so he has been rocking the I Like it a Lot look right now.

I do sort of miss the male bonding barber shop ******** sessions. But that was more of a Yankee thing anyway, not going to happen down here, hell they have women barbers down here and when I lived in Florida, just seems wrong.

My grandpa worked for chrysler for a long time. My family gets amazing deals on incentives, trade ins, financing, service packages... For what this car will cost me, I couldnt buy a used car half as nice. Cash for clunkers killed the used car market in MI, and I wont pay $10k for a used car with over 100k miles on it, which is common. Options are either falling apart on the side of the road, way too expensive used, or new.

And it is built in MI. So there is that.

Whereas I respect the idea of saving the dough for a haircut, I also like my barber, and want to make sure he's got a good life as well, so I plunk down the dough. Keepin' the economy afloat $17.00 at a time.

I have had my hair cut at the same place for the last 30 years. So has my dad, uncles, and all the men in my family. We just walk in, and get sat.
