Yes bass vi, and I play like a 4 stringer always on everything even the baritone or my guitars, if not that I play with my nail like a pick.

Issue with the nail is that it hurts after a bit, if I played daily like that i think id lose the nail on my index finger.

I use my nail more on guitar than fingers... But I'll play chords and "leads" (basslines on guitar) with fingers, just drag across the strings.

I should try more thumbing. And just learn to hold a pick star and comfortably.

My friend gave me a free squier bullet amp, sold it in the parking lot of my office today for $25. Got off work early and met a guy and got this for $25 in front of his office. Gotta love basically free stuff.

I could see a small minority maybe trying to protest. I like to think the far-left Pittsburghers like to focus their attention on more important issues though. We'll see. Pretty excited to be playing this show as Club Cafe is a really nice smaller venue that doesn't usually host shows like this. Will be cool to get a chance to play there.

Found some moon gel in the pile of drum stuff I got. Fixed up the old japanese sparkle snare and the cut sabian B8 crash. Towel over snare, moon gel crash. Need a piezo to rig up a stomp box. Then I'll have a simple quiet practice kit.

Dumb question, but i read in the early days of amps, they'd have like one amp and sing, play guitar and bass all into one amp.

If I got my peavey musician head, and it has two inputs per each of the two channels. Then I plugged say a ABY combination of mic/keys/bass/bass drum/guitar on the amp at once would it sound ok/be ok. I know PA's do it and I just answered myself, but still gotta ask. Also how does it reproduce all those sounds at once so well?

I used to play in a band that did that when we practiced, put the vocals and guitar through one amp for convenience. Sounded fine for practice. We weren't cranking it though.

You still see a lot of little buskers amps with separate inputs for doing that sort of thing, so it cant be too bad.

Didn't think so.

Yea I have the peavey musician 400, and there is a dedicated PA 400 (kinda want one) but it's merely a 4-6 channel version of the guitar amp without the effects and active EQ side.

I have a 9v powered mini mixer. But basically it'd largely be my bass into the effects/active channel. Then the piezo bass drum into the other channel. Then into my bassic.

I think for your purposes it would probably work fine. I wouldn't put two different string instruments, or an instrument & vocals through the same amp, but your setup would probably work just fine.
