Just shipped my pine P bass body off to get painted, finally. Hopefully the next time I make something, it doesn't take me 2 years to finish it haha.

Yeah I'm not a hoarder and probably flip too much stuff to the point my girlfriend asks if I am going to flip her if I get bored of her. Unless it is kind of rare and I think I won't get my hands on it again for some reason if I want another one I move it on to try something else out or shrink down the chain. I just added it up that selling off the Tyrant to buy a different model with the features would of cost a good bit more than just buying that Saturnworks looper. I just sold my Solidgoldfx Beta Drive which was killer low gain, but man it didn't play nice with other dirt. I just rolled the gain down on the Hellcat to medium gain and have the EQD Speaker Cranker for touch of dirt and can live without Beta. I can't stand pedals that fart or clip from the input of another one or from fast lines like some muffs do.

RE Video games: I used to play a lot...Elder scrolls, Forza, Gran Turismo...but with 2 bands and a ladyfriend now, dont have much time anymore.
RE Handiness: Im a macgyver of sorts. I can make anything work. Kinda. Wont be perfect but itll do for the time being.

After like 6 months of being on backorder and waiting for the British holiday to be over...
Labella flats and Staytrem bridge are finally on the Bass VI. And oh my, is it a new beast, its actually playable and the flats are smooth as butter meltin over a big ol pile of flapjacks.

Tight. Making me rethink ditching my VI with tin can rattle bridge, but I also wasn't keen on the pup selectors; I kept bumping them. Maybe a PS VI with selector blade would suit better.
You know its an oddball instrument. You cant play it exactly like its a bass nor as a guitar, it's its own thing. How did you play it in MDT? I dont think ill be using it in VEGA or GH but in a future noisy fuzzy heavy pop band for sure.
That ad will read guitar player must have olympic white jazzmaster or jaguar to match my bass VI...and then well try to remake the Blue album.

I just played it as a bass for the most part, but did some root-5th-octave pwr chords or A/B-shape chords about the neck. The buzzing didn't bother me (with dirt on) as much as the pup selectors; I kept bumping them while strumming, particularly if I started getting after it. Two songs I started on bass VI ended up in the band, though.

Ahhh. Just found out the green man paid a visit and is waiting for me at home when I get off work. This is beyond simple desire; it's medicinal for me, after this fargin' week. Pulled 13 hours yesterday, full day today and have to work 9-2 tomorrow.

You mean on a Bass VI?
Did you play with fingers similarly to how you would on a 4-banger, or more like fingerpicking a guitar?
I finger pick mine more like a guitar, a lot of thumb. I actually dont really use a pick anymore, bass/guitar/VI, i just use my nail while holding an imaginary pick. Its improved my 4 string playing greatly as well.
I've played some 6 string basses, but the spacing was considerably different from the Bass VI, at least the examples I played on.
I always kinda figured if I ever wound up with a Bass VI I'd approach it more like a bari guitar...use a pick a lot and try to get some downtuned spaghetti western action up in this beeyotch.

In the past I probably used a pick maybe 20% of the time. Just depended on the song and the attack or sound I was going for. Now I find I use one more frequently. Not sure why that is.
I do play guitar and am not total $#!% at fingerpicking. Jeez dudes, I don't need GAS. Now y'all got me pining for a Bass VI. Daaang.
