Shirts are in. Had to pay a bit more, but the turnaround time was three days. Much better than 4 months. For all you MST3K fans, Still Valley, Hands Of Fate.

The thing about the 800 is it is kind of a one trick pony and that trick is awesome but it has no versatility. The 2000 has so much more versatility but you have to work for it because all of the controls seem to work with each other in different ways. The tone shift switch is cool and does a mild scoop. Not crazy drastic like a Triple Rec or anything like that but just clears out a little of the harsh mids. I think it will sound a lot better in a mix and leave some room for the drums and bass.

Yeah. My friend's was cool, just not what I prefer for guitar. For what guitar I play, I'm actually quite happy with my Fender era Model T.

I recall the 800 as having somewhat limited controls. Are there no lower wattage amps with similar sounds?

We never took more than two takes for a song.

Ended up just using the Vulcan, straight in besides the built in fuzz, through the studios 415 for dirty and the Dunwich DI straight in for cleans through a sunn concert bass as a slave and one of my 18s. No DI, the engineer liked micing cabs better. The Vulcan is much grittier recorded than live. The fuzz is velvet zipper like. Like a woolly steel girder. So happy with the tone.

we just got a 10 minute track down for free at a pro studio, overnight (6pm-6am) and run by students. downside being it is mixed by an "amateur", but a friend. he's done a stand up job so far, can't wait to post it.

excited to hear yours max.. you know what's up if our tracks are matching in quality.

$30/hr recording and mixing, and the guy our engineer usually uses for mastering does $8/min of music, oh and its the guy who mastered, The Shrine, Big Business, and EARTHLESSs newest albums.

I've been meaning to bring that up, leave a song we recorded this weekend out of the album to save for our international split.
