I always preferred the look of NR T-birds but truth be told, while I've played tons of "regular" and non-reverse Firebird (guitars) and quite a damn few T-birds, I don't believe I've ever played a NR T-bird.

This is apparently what has been missing from my $#!%@! life....

I've talked to a couple people about building me a NR Fenderbird, but now I think I'm just going to make a body for myself and have someone else paint it.

Standby for the completion of my first instrument lol. I think I will tinker around with a few other ideas first too, considering I took about a 2 year break on the first one.

I think the only thing Gibson gets litigious about is their headstock shape and logo. I've seen plenty of knockoff Thunderbird, Fenderbird, Explorer and V (production) bodies around recently.

Yeah, as long as you don't use the model names (les paul, sg, etc) or initials of their names to describe the instrument they'll leave you alone. The company i work for got a cease and desist letter from Gibson last year because we called a guitar "LP style" on the website. Single cut and double cut are fine.

What is, they are both awesome?

There is a sunburst/RW one I saw earlier and mentioned for $300, too much for me. Though I just contacted a guy hopefully meeting him tomorrow... $200 white with black guard and maple with original case.

OOF still got to check out more austin Craigslist as I'm going there tomorrow.

But... If everything works in my favor. I'll go to austin and get a gk 400 RB, peavey TX210 and rack gear thing for $200. Then flip everything but the GK. Then get the T-40 early next week after pay day.

Yeah! It's white too, right? White, black, maple? That's the best I think. Though I like the looks of all of them.

Never owned one...played a few. As I recall the necks were thin for me.

Had the T-60 guitar version in burgundy. Damn tank. Lots of sounds. I was quite young. Would love to hear how the neck is on yours.
