Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I think I'm pulling the trigger on a used Terror Bass 500.
Got fed up with playing random rigs every time we change practice spaces.
Been playing an SVT for the last 6 months, but two months ago space's owners had a row and decided to part ways. One of them got his panties in a bunch and took his his toys home. Enter Behringer Ultrabass BX4500H. It wasn't bad, but after an SVT it was kind of a shock.
I kinda miss that tube sound.

Played a weird weeknight 20-min MDT set last night as part of an underground open mic showcase. Lots of technical gremlins, but nothing a few cervezas and ingenuity couldn't get me past. Plus, I got to live test a new tune and even play the skinny strings a little.

Doing a proper MDT set at the same venue this coming weekend...was pleased to discover not one but two posters over the urinal!

That cab looks correct for the period, but you're right that it is not the original cab for the Spectrum II. My guess is it's either the cab from a Sonic I-40, Sonaro, or Sentura I, all of which came with 1x15s. Unless someone has changed the speaker, it should be a 15" still, not an 18", so once you take it out I'd measure it and check to see if the front baffle has been modified in order to accomodate a larger speaker (I get the math, but it looks pretty much the same as other contemporar Sunn 1x15s I've seen).

Thanks. It definitely looks like a Sonaro cab - same dimensions and construction, but it has the two additional horn drivers.

I hate the concept of credit...

I don't need any right now and prefer paying things off in full. Payments make me nervous as you can never be sure what life might throw at you.

That said I need to starting building it... Since I flip stuff a lot for a profit, should I get a credit card, take cash out on it for flips that way I can do payments to build credit based on what I already do?

Wouldn't use credit to attempt to make money. That's why Guitar Center is in the toilet.
Take something you normally do like groceries and gas and buy them with credit.
That way you aren't waiting on something to sell to make a payment.
Credit gets addictive cause it's easy to achieve and penalties are slow.
I hate credit too, but if I do without I'll probably never be able to buy land. At least not until I'm not able to enjoy it.

Oh I should have mentioned I planned on already having enough for the payment when I make the purchase so I don't run myself into that ditch!

Like I have $500, and buy something for $250 knowing that it's worth $251-$XXX. So I could technically pay it off that minute, but I also have the month or whatever to sell it. Either way by the end I still earn my $1 or more and get credit buildup.
