I've lived in 13 states and spent significant time in many more.l There are only 4 US states I haven't been to, and two of those are Alaska and Hawaii.

I've lived from Texas to Minnesota and from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific coast.

My two favorite states I've lived in are Arizona and Oregon.

Both have such a wide variance in topography and scenery, different biomes, etc.

Arizona in the NE (think Flagstaff) you have mountains with switchback roads, lush forests, waterfalls, etc...but come down from those hills and you are quickly in deep desert. Both aspects of the state are beautiful, and I thought the people were cool as hell (though the cops and politicians SUCK.)

Oregon is also like two states in a way. You have the gorge that separates the western one-third of the state form the high desert areas (the gorge continues into Washington state and Canada with the same differences between "west of the gorge" and "east of the gorge.")

We are stuck in Oklahoma for now due to caring for our aging parents. But once we are free of that, we plan to head West somewhere...

I don't exactly know why, or how to put it into words, but I didn't care for the East coast/far East of the US nearly as much as I loved the West. The scenery was often beautiful, and I love the history around those parts, but while there are great cities to the East that I have visited, lived in, and enjoyed, I don't think we are fated to ever move in that direction again. If not West, possibly South to Texas...

Damn. I talk to much.

Farthest west I have been in Lawton OK, so I don't know much about it but read plenty of Abbey and yearn to see the Southwest. I know PA to Florida states well from the commutes back and forth for four years. My favorite state so far is Kentucky, loved the lakes and rolling hills, prefect motorcycle country. I hate winter and cold weather, so thinking I will end up deeper south or maybe in Arizona in the future if I dig it there, especially if my weather-induced migraines are minimized there. I hope I end up where there is more of a music scene. I go through a phase of being over a place and then move and I am really feeling over Virginia lately.

I don't use PayPal either, and I never will again.

I had a PayPal account for a short while back 6-7 years ago, used it for a few transactions then got completely hung up by a dishonest scammer a-hole. My account was frozen, my bank account was affected, and I was on the phone or emailing someone about the crap every day or two for the better part of six months until it was resolved. During this process, apparently (according to PayPal) someone was trying to use ID theft to somehow access my PP account on top of all the other crap.

It was just a damn nightmare, and in no way worth it. I would like to use PayPal again also, for the convenience and because so many buyers/sellers request payment that way, but I just ain't gonna go down that road again.

Damn that sucks.

I had a internet/cable tech do that same thing with a ladder - cursing and swearing the whole time because the previous tech that came out was extremely obese and chose not to climb the ladder and finish the job.

"I see you had another tech out here yesterday, but you're still having your intermittent drop outs?"

"Yeah, he was here - still having the issue"

"Was his name Johnny?"

"Yeah, I think so - big guy?"

"Yeah, that fat shag was supposed to check your flux capacitor on the pole outside, let me guess - he never got the ladder off of his truck."

It was pretty comical, I don't blame the big guy for not wanting to climb up there, but it seems like a requirement for the job.

Good news: offered a killer new job
Bad news: gotta pass a drug screen before i start :| been a pretty steady user for awhile now. kind of nervous. read a lot of stuff online, gonna try to push back the start date as much as i can to give me time to pass. i don't have any issues quitting to pass, i'm just worried i'll fail. first time i've had to take one since graduating from college so i was kind of surprised.

Powered meat tenderizer. A pinch of that stuff will give you a neutral, not a pass or fail, just a neutral. Some companies require a retest, some dont at that point. Found this out from my drummer whose best friend works at a testing place, like he does the actual testing not just a nurse that administrates the test.

Havent tried it or ever seen the method mention on the internet but its worth a shot. Obviously a small enough pinch that it will dissolve completely into your pee.

*shudders* Man, even in Oklahoma, Lawton is considered a ghetto hellhole. It is at least near Medicine Park (kinda cool artsy hippie community) and the Wichita Mountains/ Mt. Scott (among the oldest, and therefore lowest, mountain ranges in the world, but starkly beautiful. Pics below...

Also, Geronimo and Quanah Parker are buried there.

My favorite state so far is Kentucky, loved the lakes and rolling hills, prefect motorcycle country.

Yeah, I dig Kentucky and Tennesse both. Tons of natural beauty. Still would probably not live there though.

I hope I end up where there is more of a music scene.

Yeah, I've never been able to sit still long...never more than three years in any one place. But I'm 46 now and pretty fargin' tired of moving.

Hopefully you and I will both find a place that suits us and feeds our souls. If you ever cross my way (wherever I happen to be) on some future travels, we always have a place for you. And that goes for everyone here.

Except maybe Kwai-Chang. Not so sure about that guy...

Yeah I know I need to stay in the lower elevations to stay warm in AZ but I dig how a short ride and the climate changes so quick to get a fix if you need it.

Last note on AZ: when I lived there, I lived for the most part in this town Cottonwood, right down the mountains from Flagstaff, and under 30 minutes east of Sedona. Not a whole lot to the town, but the people were great and the main thing I dug about it was you went 15 minutes east and you were in the lush, hilly forests/woods, but 15 minutes west and it was straight up desert. Right time of the year you could literally go from frozen snowy climates like the Hoth planet to desert with the furnace sun sweating you out in under an hour. It was kind of perfect in a way. Reminded me a lot of parts of California.

Honestly I grew up in Northeast PA so I am used to killer good pizza. Antonio's is ok, better than Mall pizza but not so hot and there sauce is super acidic for some reason so instant heartburn LOL. I guess if that Verizon guy dies out front it can be called killer pizza now though

Thanks man! Yeah I was checking out Cottonwood after you mentioned that before. Looked pretty cool. I can do BFE or medium density, not a city person unless I can live on the outskirts. Too bad CA is so damn pricey, lots like some pretty country and the possibility of getting bitch-slapped by a Squatch while taking in the scenery is thrilling LOL.
Oh how about this stuff in Cottonwood. Don't mess with people living in a van down by the river.

In Florida I had to re-take a test because my boss liked me enough to send me back after I flunked the first one, when I was ready. I ran to the head shop and bought this gel-pill and taped it in my boxers and dropped in sample, it worked and was only like a week later than the first test.
