Indy show went awesome yesterday. Wish we wouldnt have played last though, a lot of people basically left after hometown riffers Apostle of Solitude, who played right before us, finished. So we probably lost out of some merch sales that way...and I dont know how you guys/your cities scenes do it, but locals dont take the cover, we give it all to the out of towners...well the cover was split 5 ways and we were the only touring band...the AOS guys kicked us a bit more so that was nice but between our share of the cover and the bit of merch we sold we almost broke even for the trip. Woulda been AWESOME to come out a head but thats how she goes sometimes. It was blast either way.
Played some new songs and got good reactions from the people that stuck around.
Smelled something burning on stage throughout the set coming from around where my amps were, smelled em after every song and it wasnt coming them or my cabs. It got worse and worse as our set went on, but it was none of our shvt so we kept going. Finally when we finished and they turned the lights on, we found smoke pouring out of the stage drum monitor, we lit the midrange on fire...
