Me too. Seems like it might be cool, but all the clips seem to be all high gain dirt, but not grit, if that makes sense. Also, completely bass-centric in that I never hear anything that might cut through the mix. Completely dominate under the mix? Yes, but not get through it. Pretty much the same with the TFR. I'm very interested, but they don't seem to be aimed at my thing. Still, GAS knows no bounds...
I'm always on the lookout for fuzz. Never used to get why people had more than one type of each od, fuzz etc until I tried a few. Now I'm hooked. Next on my list is a nice Muffy kind of fuzz (something like the Dunwich Wizard Fuzz) and the Fairfield Unpleasant Surprise ( for "oh my god *** is happening to me" fuzz).
Have a friend who was just outside Pokhara Nepal when. The earthquake hit. It's been an intense day of waiting and worrying, but he was finally able to make contact. Serious ****.
This. Just avoid heat rocks like the plague. Under tank heaters work great. Uromastyx are also very cool and pretty hardy, they just have more specific climate conditions. Basically the same as leopard geckos but a little hotter. Corn snakes are about as easy as it gets though. Anymore I just try to avoid anything that needs live food. I don't hit the grocery store often enough to support something requiring fresh greens, so frozen rat pups work great. But, meal worms for geckos aren't really a hassle either. Just make sure they have plenty of humidity when shed time comes.
the Wizard Fuzz is nothing like a muff. it's a pretty unique fuzz.
I feel like its got a similar sound to a couple of muffs ive heard with overdrives run into them. I suppose not really classic muff like at that point, but an awesome sounding pedal nonetheless
Muff? I always recommend BAT Pharaoh. I'll get the Supreme version someday...
before i leave for my lunchtime photo shoot and ny on with my rant, i bought a trashed A series 84 mij jazz for 365 bones in joshua tree and added alleva coppolo vintage style pickups and a threaded bridge, the thing is sweet and old school bootylicious and i'll never get rid of it, therefore, i guess the only place to go next would be to replace my skyline p that i sold last year to pay my taxes with a beat up alder or ash body p and do the same thing, how could i justify buying a 2000 dollar or more bass when it's so much fun to find gems in the mom and pop places and mod them with my friend's pickups?

Anybody know of a bass-friendly DOD250 clone? Really like the sound, but the bass cut is bothersome. Probably the only reason I didn't keep mine.

Long story short I got this today from a estate sale of a local friend/musician that passed away. Had some sentimental value so i couldn't pass it up.
Obviously I approve this...
It was a trashed Univox U-1061 bass head when I got it. The awesome blue had been spray painted over, it had two dissimilar power tubes, some blown components inside. I gutted it and turned it into sort of a Traynor YBA-1A mkii clone, running 6550 tubes. Then I changed around the front end to make it like a master volume 6-knob marshall, where the "high" input gets an extra gain stage and gets seriously shreddy, great for guitar, and the "low" input is much cleaner, and is still very useable for bass.
i really liked it when I had it but GAS got the best of me and ended up selling it.
This was the only show I ever used it at.
the SC was on for the whole jam.
