VEGA uploaded a few videos of recording this weekend...this is actually two songs, Machine and Time. Time is about about a dude making a time machine but it goes turribly wrong and it gets him stuck in limbo and he goes mental. Machine is the time machine starting up.



Askrere, you must have gotten more of dads smooth talking genes, I could make a sport of rejection/making a complete fool of myself with the other kind. Its almost entertaining.

I am always tempted by the 1001rb.

It's neat but to my knowledge its the same preamp as the 2001rbp. I really liked it but the preamp input isn't very adaptive to basses of different output. Clipping it with active basses sounds less than awesome and the input pad completely changes the character of the input gain. Very annoying if all of your basses aren't of similar output. Just halving the input pad IMO would have done wonders for that system. Then again it could be impedance matching problems.
I never had those problems with the 800rb the times I used one.

Good to know. With the Dually a 400RB would be gigable.

Yeah one of the things I liked most about the 2001rbp preamp was you could get 3 different kinds of dirt out of it.
Preamp gain, overdrive channel, and the boost circuit. The sweet spot for me was preamp gain just barely driving(was actually a large portion of the gain knob with a passive bass) and boost maxed or close to it. Just a great happy place for me that I could never get with an active bass. The overdrive channel was fun but kinda synthetic sounding to me, too focused.

The 400rb I would expect to kick nearly as much ass as the 800rb. I liked an 800rb through whatever cab it was on. The only time I've been really happy playing an Ampeg 810. Course I've never heard one through a fearful.

Thanks, I'm excited. I've been wanting to do something like this for awhile. My friend who's amazing at drums is 100% in, we've just been looking for guitar/vocals. We've got a couple prospects interested, so I'm meeting up with them to see if we're on the same page.

Heavy pop? Anything like Torche? Trying to imagine what kind of pop music the heaviest bass player in the universe wants to play... Lol. I've reached out to all that I can. Doesn't look like we are getting on that Denver show. But, I'll be there as an audience member. I want to check out that EGC.

It just sounds so magical, but I imagine that it's in part the Sunn 15" drivers, which would be difficult to obtain. I would like to try something with an angled baffle, but I must admit that I've been interested in the Fearful cabs also. There are so many options, but whatever it is I'll likely be DIYing it. I guess all I know is that I want something massive with 15's, perhaps I'll try and find some affordable drivers and see what designs would suit them best?

800RB through an 8-10", is the tone I'm after. Pure magic. I'll make due with my alpha tube pre, crown xls1000, and 4-15's. But, I want to add an 8-10 to the setup.

Atlas is akin to emperor. I waited two weeks for a no answer. I had a gig with a band that had a 1-12" Atlas. 1-12"? Makes me think they charge a lot for cabs. I understand the guy in charge is a gigging musician. They provided back line for Denver Doomfrst too.
