Turns on, see tubes all light up, no noise with organ plugged in, but maybe the organ is the issue? It's l and r phono not 1/4" so need to rig up an adapter to try a guitar.

Research shows it to be around 6 watts. Meant for organ/bass response, so there's a low pass filter cap that needs bypassing. Vibrato is supposed to be amazing.
It would be cool to set it up so I could run my pignose head into it as a cab. For when i want more than 6 watts, but don't need a 4x10 speaker column. The current speaker is a stock Oxford 12" of that means anything to anyone.
Just dreaming but as far as cabs go, what do you guys like for speaker sizes?

Just curious because I do often see cabs on CL that seem reasonable and lust about my unobtainable rig a lot.
There's an old Peavey cab for a bill that I think is one 15" Black Widow with an horn...only 250 watts though.

Incidentally, sold off old Squier Strat, my acoustic guitar and a mandolin. Still gotta put the MIM P on CL but I need the cash asap. Pretty much gotten rid of everything I have of value but desperately clinging to the hope I can hang onto the old Lotus P copy.
If I have to part with that I will probably give up music altogether and say my farewells.
The bright side is that now being back in library work i am looking for a much better paying job in the field. I'll be applying for several soon. One in Golden, Colorado would be perfect for my experience and degree and it's double what I make now.
Of course COL is higher there than in Jokelahoma, but quality of life would be better I expect.
I know there are some Colorado dudes here. Any thoughts on Golden?
Also put in fir a job in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Fingers crossed for some job with a livable salary soon, but unless I can negotiate a moving allowance I'm not sure how we'd afford to move very far...

I like good cabs with good speakers. Seeing as driver size doesnt tell you much (nothing) about tone, I can find satisfaction in a lot of different cabs.
Right now I have a 212 and two 215's.
Lake Havasu would be the cat's arse. Fingers crossed for you. I always thought library work would be a good gig.
15's seem to be my new go to for dirty tones. Think it's the mid range bump. The peavey 215+800rb+fea+ric=doomz. My 810's and borrowed 410 seem easier to find a good clean tone on the fly due to a slight scoop sound.
Tell you what, a Peavey 215D loaded with 1505-8's pushed by an 800RB may not be a modern set up, but it sure does sound good.
18s man, all about dem 18s...may not be the best or the most readily available for cheap but they are the biggest.
Forgot about those, I think PVY has a 21" too, but those just seem like overkill...

Re: speakers, 75% of my gigs have decent house PA so speakers don't quite impact listener as much, IMO. Dat said, I'm torn b/w the 3620 & Heritage 810 at the moment. Both have strengths. I think I like the 18s just a touch more, though.
