Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Dammit Corey!
Fill me in on the deets on the dually!

It's the Eminence Kappalite 3015 loaded one. Ported, tilt back casters, slide rails on the back, all black, plastic corners, perf metal grill, Speakon connectors. Super duper lightweight, loud as hell, something like 800-900W handling power. It's built by BNA Audio, so @dukeorock could probably you fill you in on details if I missed anything, it's the more modern and low-mid heavy of the two I have, I think. It's my most used cab, so it's got some dings and dents in the duratex, but works and sounds great. I really reaaaalllly don't want to ship it though, so if I sell it at all I will probaby shoot for semi local to SF bay area.

The Dunwich pre...it's a modified ACC 140/150 type circuit, with a BAX type tone stack, switchable FX Loop, it's AC powered. It's meant to be low to moderate gain and kind of vintagey sounding, to be a pedal platform. Nick could probably fill in way more detail on it, he put a lot of work into it and actually completely rebuilt it after I tested out the first version he made.

I also recorded some demo clips but they're super old. I could record new ones if you're genuinely interested in hearing something specific.

It's half of what I recorded the Warp Rig demo with, running either the Wizard Fuzz or the Pickle Pie B into it, I can't remember which at the moment. I used the GK into my Ampeg for the other rig.

I'm considering liquidating my C rig. Dunwich Preamp > Crest Pro-Lite 2.0 > Eminence 3015 Dually. I still have the Faital loaded Dually, Mr. Grumpy when he arrives, my GK MB800 and my Ampeg 810 after that. It's a pretty solid rig all on its own, but I don't need 3 full size gig rigs...seeing as how I haven't even played with other people in like 9 months.

What's the dunwich preamp you have?

Edit: Never mind beat me to it, but what's ACC?

Bummer, but understandable. I was kind of hoping for a Mr. Grumpy > dual Dualies report.

Mmmm, well, you may still. I'm more likely to sell the preamp and the power amp before the cab. I know there are people here on TB who would want the cab, but I'm not that keen to ship it at all. So if no one is interested locally I may just hold onto it. Depends on what else I'm selling moves first, especially the Traynor.

Well, it's not critical. I'm sure it would be something along the lines of "HOLY SH*T IT'S SO LOUD AND IT SOUNDS AWESOME!"

What did you get Joe? That Waterstone thingymabobber?

I was going to buy the new blueburst one but Julian found which I am pretty sure is the actual Waterstone MB I sold to a guy in Michigan on his local Craigslist. It was sold/traded to guitar shop in Julian's neck of the woods and he snatched it up for me tonight. Which is double cool of him because he works two full time jobs and used up some of his limited free time to go get it for me.

Cool, those are pretty neat sounding basses. Very vintage Ric-ish. That Julian sure is a little sweetie pie.

I sold it foolishly because I don't bond with neck through as much and I was more partial to wider nut widths but have missed it more then any other gear I sold off over the years. The neck pickpup nails the Ric neck pup tone too me. The bridge is in the right spot on the body but it is a mini bucker, so still gets good grind but not as Ric-like as the neck pup.
