Yeah, I'm just skipping the ported design ideas entirely. It would be difficult to improve upon what I've already got between the two Duallies, so I might as well change it up for variety. I'm building it because I want to build something and I want a huge cab that will look fitting with the giant amp head.
I think the Electricamp one might be primitively ported, but I can't remember. I think it's similar to the diagonal design Marshall was using for their 2x15 cabs for a while, so it might be sealed (but, you know, two of them). Either way, it's a badass cab.

You'll probably hear from me at some point as well. Eventually I want to build a 215 TL606 for my EVMs.

I've got EV's in my 2000S cab.
TL-606 style 2x15 is probably a way more efficient use of space, though. The only upside to my cab, space-wise, is that it's the same depth as the guitar cabs and so doesn't stick out of the backline.

If you want to do a real folded horn for sub lows, prepare to carry something big, and check out BRM's tuba designs.
Otherwise the TL-606 is pretty much a benchmark when you are talking about those EVM's.
It is a little 6 watt, hand wired p2p amp. Very simple, has a single tone knob, and a volume knob that is push/pull for a gain boost. I run it with my Dually and it sounds pretty fantastic for a $130 used amp. It sounds killer through a 412 with guitar. It would be gigable for my guitards in the cover band, but not clean. As simple as it is, the tone knob is pretty powerful. It goes from bright chime highs to gritty lows. Not a lot of bass vs treble control though.
Popping in to say I saw a b15s in Chicagoland if your still in the market ron.Not very doom, but I'm having difficulty finding clothes that fit. I'm between a small or a very fitted medium, the issue is my shoulders are too wide for most smalls and my height (like 6-6'1 I think) makes some smalls a wee bit short. Anyone in a similar situation found success anywhere, or should I find a place for cheap alterations?
This summer I want to try and get to like 10% or less body fat. Tomorrow's my last exam, then the rest of the month I can tweak my diet more (fixing things starts in the kitchen) and continue expanding my exercise regimen. Lean mean summer ahead.

how do you talk about 415s and leave out the 408 (the COOLEST one haha)
and what hiwatt 415 are you referring to? pics would be awesome as ive never seen/heard of one.
I'm in a similar situation at 5'11". My only solution is trying on lots and lots of different shirts to make sure they have the right length. Eventually I can find a medium that's more of an athletic fit. If you buy large you can have it altered but I try to find things that fit right.
The most difficult things are t shirts. I need to remember to get only those with synthetic fabrics because they shrink. I think once I start running before work in the mornings I can burn off some of this midsection and get into a few more shirts as well (I'm not overweight, just a couple inches need to come off. I'm something like 175-180lbs).

Idk my height, but those that say they are 5'11 and 6' I can tell I'm taller so either I'm taller or they lie about their height. Dunno my
weight either, except I was 260+ this time last year.
I always try to forgo synthetic fibers (I always feel they are super hot here in Texas). Pants and shorts I'm a 32" but I can pull them off without undoing anything, and yet a size 30" won't come up past my knees so not sure what that's about. They are the serious issue as I need new ones every 1-2 months it seems, shirts it's just a pain to juggle sizes and achieve a new wardrobe cheaply. Esp. I try to dress semi well, and if I get a job I'll be having to buy corporate level clothes $$$... Got a bunch of free suits, but the damn shoulder padding is a nightmare, look like Hilary Clinton lol.
I made a crude scale layout of the sealed 415 design. Outside measure of the cab is 32.5" wide x 52" tall x 16" deep. There's an internal separation between the top and bottom pairs, with each section having an internal volume of about 6.136 cubic feet. I played around a lot with the dimensions to try to get the balance of the width and height I wanted, getting enough separation between the drivers so I can brace everything well internally and keeping the internal volume somewhat close to other similar cabs I was able to compare against. I noticed a lot of homebrew 215 cabs with the staggered positioning had everything crammed really close together on the baffle and I didn't like that. Too much opportunity for it to flex, I think. I want to be able to get a brace in between them if I can. Already got all the parts priced out, but I'm still figuring a couple things out. I'll probably wait until Nick is done with the amp to start building it, just because I want to make sure the dimensions work with it.

Do not wear suits with shoulder pads! Find someone who knows how a men's suit should fit and go to the thrift stores, try on a bunch until you find one that fits properly. Once you get one that fits you'll know what to look for, and there's good deals at the thrift stores if you take your time and look.
you know, while I LOOOVE the tone of my Bergs, Im really coming around to appreciate the value of a good ported cab again.. I think I played crap designed ported cabs for years and thought they all sounded like dog poo... but ported cabs have some REAL advantages, like more volume!
