Looks like I may have the Dually sold. Just trying to work out scheduling to meet up halfway between here and Los Angeles. Got jack sh*t on my amps for sale though. I keep getting people making me offers, I accept, then they never message me back ever again.

Of course "mutual handy" is the obvious choice that nobody has brought up yet. Where I came up, we called it "tennin'"

He's been very accommodating, it looks like we're probably going to meet halfway between here and LA in a couple weeks. It's a big enough sale that I'm willing to wait a bit and drive a bit to close it. My wife was trying to convince me to make the drive this Sunday on her birthday. "It's no big deal, we can just stop in San Luis Obispo for lunch or something, there's a Greek Festival happening, that could be fun. I don't care about doing anything big for my birthday".

I had to dropped the ol lady off at her job at the kennel this morning and a lady was dropping off her dogs for day care. Two Australian Cattle Dogs, one blue and one red, both super fat and sweet.

Leela is lean, but her skins loose (maybe she has to grow into it?). Not loose like a mastiff, but if you squish her she's not taut. She'll probably not get fat until she's old as I exercise her daily, and don't over feed her. I like that she has short cattle dog hair, but soft like the shepherd.

Our new puppy Violet has got me totally wrapped around her paw. She is just the right mix of playful (without being obnoxious most of the time), independent (our other dog insists of being RIGHT ON TOP OF A HUMAN at all times) and sweetly affectionate. She will literally grab my face with both front paws and pull me in for a kiss. She doesn't use her tongue really, but just kind of bumps noses with me and gently puts my nose in her mouth. I know this doesn't sound doom, but it melts me.



Curious about what all guitars and basses you own. All I've seen is the Bronco, that Lyon tele-type and a Squier Strat and some acoustic (IIRC you were flipping or selling the Strat & acoustic...)

Sometimes I envision you with a massive fleet of basses.

Yeah! Stick a GZR in that Bronco!

PS-- Any of you guys dig Darkstar pickups? Not thinking about getting one, but a few years back they were all the rage. I remember seeing all kinds of basses routed for Darkstars. Now I hardly ever hear about them. Did they just jump the shark or did people decide they weren't that special?

Leela is mostly nice, her play bites are lessening in frequency, but certain scenarios keep cropping up, and I'll be taking her to obedience school if they remain. Like if i try to pick her up in certain situations, she whips her head around and bites, or if she wants down. never hard, but not cool. once she wanted down last week and bit my hand and wouldn't let go... I say "carry" now, every time I am about to pick her up. I also say "be a baby" if I flip her onto her back and cradle her lol.

if I say nose or she is close to me, she'll touch noses. I try to avoid letting her lick my face as earlier she had a tendency to turn licks into chews and nips.

I have these Basses - Squier Bass VI, Squier Chris Aiken P bass, Squier SS PJ Jag, Squier Bronco, Epiphone EB-0, Ibanez Roadstar P
I have these Guitars - Lyon Tele, Squier Strat, ESP M10 (tuned to Baritone), Jay Turser Electric Dobro Piezo & Mini Hum, Ibanez Acoustic (being borrowed) and my first guitar (refinished and unwired squier strat)

Bronco will probably get a new guard cut and routes for pickups. If I was to do this, its a 99% chance I'll be using a full set of GFS lil killer strat rails, vs the one I have currently. Routed to have the neck and bridge pickup in Ric positions and the middle in its current position. Then I'd get it wire it pretty much as is with a lean towards the jag, so I can stereo.

Basically then I'll have the mono bass VI, and two stereo setups. Two Standard tuned basses and one C/B/A standard tuned one.

Guitars, I'll probably keep just the tele, dobro and maybe the baritone.

Everybody has to sell all the things. I'm totally tapped out of excess pedals now, with the exception of my Pigtronix Aria which has had zero traction anywhere for some reason.

I've still got my Dunwich hoard though. Those babies are going nowhere.

Uh, no f*ckin way. Not worth it to get rid of my GK at this point. Right now it's my only bass amp, when Mr. Grumpy gets here it will still be my go to demo recording amp and permanent backup. Especially since it fits in the pocket of my gigbag.

I have heard the necks on the Chris Aikens are pretty thin. This true? And who the #@!% is Chris Aiken anyway?

I played an Epi EB-3 a couple days ago at my local place. Enjoyed it a lot and they actually have a good price on it, but not considering buying it or anything.

Man, what year is your Roadstar? I have a big thing about old Ibanez Roadstars and Blazers. I remember when you could find those for a song...now, sorta like the T-40, they seem to be more scarce and they are creeping up in price. They are worthy instruments though.

The way it typically works here with insurance is they deny whatever claim you make and force you to try super hard to get compensated, hoping that the inconvenience will make you give up. In this case it's someone else's insurance, our auto insurance is fine, but there's certain things they don't cover and quite honestly, the person who caused all the damage should be paying for EVERYTHING as it is. I'm sure how that works is our insurance company is hitting them up to cover their costs. We're just trying to get the other driver's insurance to cover our deductible, medical expenses and a maybe a little settlement for pain and suffering for all the bullsh*t of having to deal with all this. The crux of it all is them denying liability makes us send it to arbitration or sue them. We're doing the former, as it's free. Either way it's adding months and months to this whole process. I'm sure all that is on purpose. Even our insurance assumed they would pay out immediately. Their excuse was that since the driver was 80% through the intersection when the collision occurred, my wife should have 80% of the liability, after her deductible with OUR insurance, which makes no sense at all. She didn't run through a yellow light trying to make it, she ran through a stale red light at full speed, into 4 lanes of traffic and there was nowhere for anyone to swerve to avoid her, except onto a sidewalk, so everyone hit their brakes and my wife is the one that took the hit. The driver claimed she didn't think the light was red and never changed her story.

It'll get sorted out eventually, but in the meantime I don't want the expenses racking up interest on my credit card.

My wife will never be the same physically again. She can't even sleep for more than 90 minutes or so at a stretch. The car she was in was the only nice vehicle we've ever owned. The impact turned it into a goddamm horseshoe. If anyone had been in the passenger side of the car, they'd certainly be dead.

The woman that hit my wife was a nurse and not only did she try to claim she wasn't at fault, she didn't even ask my wife if she was okay. We also have a suit going, but I don't hold out much hope. Maybe we can at least repay some of the medical bills the other driver's insurance didn't pick up.

So Ive started a super low priority side solo project Im calling THEGREATWHITENORTH, basically just recording riffs/songs I come up with while jamming at home with my phone, not going for high quality here, LoFi if you will. Not capping it to one sound, from electric to acoustic, organized song to ambient drone. If I can lay down a decent sounding track Im happy with Im gonna post it to my soundcloud. If/when I have enough I may put together an actual release. Well, got two tracks so far...

I played an Epi EB-3 a couple days ago at my local place. Enjoyed it a lot and they actually have a good price on it, but not considering buying it or anything.

Man, what year is your Roadstar? I have a big thing about old Ibanez Roadstars and Blazers. I remember when you could find those for a song...now, sorta like the T-40, they seem to be more scarce and they are creeping up in price. They are worthy instruments though.

Idk who Chris Aiken is lol, but he has a great signature bass. I did remove the mirror guard and sub a white one. As for the neck its regular p bass nut width, idk about front to back, it didn't strike me as anything but p bass. I got it prior to the roadstar p bass because id never seen a maple neck with white blocks and had to have it. Now I'd rather have a j bass and really only in the exact same color scheme.

EB-0 I bought to modify it to be the best mudslinger available and did most mods, but did not get results right away and I do not care enough to solve the issues, so I'm reverting to stock and selling as soon as I get less lazy.

1983 Ibanez Roadstar RB 620 bass. Corey helped me get it, and it was a great price and a great bass and so far the most likely full scale I'd keep. It's a very road worn natural finish.

Really I'm just more comfortable on short scales. Granted I started on a full scale P and had no issues, but since I first got a mustang I've never reached for a long scale for more than novelty sake, and it's just becoming wall art at my place. If there was a short scale jazz without the stupid rondo headstock I'd be thrilled, but the PJ jag is good enough.

If I was to really treat myself aside from keeping my three current shorties, I'm still very interested in getting a custom ric/danelectro hybrid built in the white/maple/binding look.

That bass was crazy light weight. I also would have sworn it was a 32" scale by the look of it, but it's 34". Just the placement of the neck in the body and the bridge I guess, it seemed really small when I was holding it.

I honestly don't understand American insurance and healthcare systems.. the insurance company can overrule the police report? that's fvcking ridiculous.

Sorry to hear that Corey, hopefully it all gets taken care of.

It's not that. It's that the insurance company can't be arrested. It's total ********. If it makes it to arbitration, they will draw it out as long as they can. And when they offer to pay, it will be about a 1/3 less than what you should get. These insurance companies, suck. I worked for one for 8 years. The #4 largest, if anyone cares to research that. Anyways, they are all a scam. Wrap you head around a minimum written premium. That means, your poopie may be cheaper to insure than what the company should be charging (illegal). But insurance companies have laws in place that make it to say they won't write your policy for anything less than xx dollars a year (auto is $100, motorcycle $75). Even if you piece of junk, liability only, 1986 ford escort hatchback should only cost $60 a year, they get to charge $100. Isn't that awesome? There's a ton of stuff like this in the insurance world.

Have you contacted your insurance company? Sometimes people leave them out when its the other guys fault, but your insurance company should be fighting for you to get you your money. That's part of what you pay them for.

We're going through our insurance. They've been very good, the other guys are just drawing it out as long as possible.
